)The Minnesota Twins have to decide after this season whether to exercise a $10.5 million option for the final season (2011) of Michael Cuddyer's contract. If not, Cuddyer, who has led the Twins back into division contention this month, could become a free agent after next season, the same as catcher Joe Mauer.

Cuddyer, 30, who this season has 28 home runs and 84 RBIs while hitting .271, is in the second season of a $24 million, three-year deal. He wants to remain in Minnesota.

"I love it here," he said. "This is the only organization I know, and I'd be happy if it's the only organization I ever know."

Another season next year like this one could make Cuddyer a valuable free agent. But he enjoys the status quo.

"Ten and a half million dollars is a lot of money to me," he said. "My wife and I are very simple people. The most money I spend is on DVDs and CDs."

Are you going to argue Cuddys Stats? Oh ya who hit that Bomb last night to put the twins in the lead? OH YA Cuddy came up with the cluch hit AGAIN. Maybe thats why He got player of the week. and the fact he got 15 RBIs since he took over for Morneau and went 3-4 last night

Fishin58 is also the guy that already has T-Jack in the NFL hall of fame so you might want to consider that when putting much stock in his opinions.

When deciding who to play in the outfield you can't possibly think Young has had a better year then Cuddy. Saying anything to the contrary will only get you blank stares and maybe a slow shake of the head as I walk away.

Who is arguing Cuddles stats as of late?? He is prolly the hottest hitter in baseball the last couple weeks. Also while he has moved to first....I could not be happier for Cuddles the great the last couple weeks. He has played a big part in keeping us in the hunt. I have chewed my crow the last couple weeks on him. But I would still pass on him in the outfield.

Thats what I dont understand How can you even put Cuddy and Young in the comparision in the out field. I cant remember the last time young has made a good play in the field. He is horible out there. He has to be the worst outfielder the twins have. He has no arm, slow, and just seems lost out their. Thats why I would rather have him at DH and Kubel in the Field

I really don't understand the hating of Cuddy in the outfield. He is a pretty darn good defensive right fielder. He may look rough compared to Span and Gomez's defense, but those guys are top 5 defensive centerfielders in the league. I would really like to hear why you would "pass" on him in the outfield.... I pray to God it has nothing to do with Delmon Young!!!

Where else should we play him?

He's been tried at 3rd and failed, he's been tried at 2nd and failed, he's serviceable at first so I guess we could move him there. Oh wait a minute we've already got an MVP first basemen.

Maybe just a DH? Then were does Kubel go?

I know lets start him at catcher, we could probably use an upgrade at catcher...

He's a solid outfielder and that's where he should stay. He'll never be a Tori Hunter type fielder but then again who is. He's certainly not a liability out there and he'll even gun a few guys throughout the season.

So he is slow at 30 and he doesnt get a great break on the ball. So is he going to be a step faster next year at 31? That magical thing that used to make guys faster as they got older is now being eliminated from the game.

Sled where are the Delmon rants at??? Hmmm they seem to disapear when he gets playing time.

He uncorked a monster from left field to first base last night and almost doubled up the runner from first but it was kind of an ill advised throw and could have gotten by Cuddy had he not made a decent play to block the 1 hopper.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!

Delmon Young actually got on Base this week VIA a Walk "BASE on BALLS".... Can anybody verify this astonishing earth shattering News?????

ROTFLOZL!

I don't know why everyone is so suprised at Cuddyers Gold golve type of play at first he's played 3rd, short, and outfield at the major league level. He's just a STUD all around athelete that has excelled whereever he's been placed..

SOOOOOO just deal with it!
