Ice 55

I am going to pick up my Ice 55 tomorow at reeds up in onamia! I am so pumped to finaly be getting a flasher!!!!

You will like the Bird 55. I have usd one this winter and I have no issues with it at all. A very nice flasher. Don't bother with the support cable.

Picked it up today, they had it all asembled for me and ready to go. Also got a new laker rod for cheap, those guys are great up there.

I was a little surprised the price has dropped $100 for the end of season sales, I probably could have waited but it is a great flasher. As others will tell you, don't run it on automatic depth setting or the flasher will continue to search for the bottom; and at times confuse a fish for bottom.

I love mine. Its operated flawlessly and is easy to use. I fished out of a perm this past weekend on Winnie with a Marcum, Vex, and Lowrance and never had any interference. We were fishing in 30ft of water for perch, and was able to have my gain on 8 (25%) with the narrow beam. Battery had about 70% left after fishing over 10 hours.

Can a someone tell me the transducer length on the ice 55 . My house is 17' off the ice and with the ice thickness I need a long cable .

if it's 17", it shouldn't be a problem. I think the support cable is close to 24" and the actual transducer cable is closer to 4-6 feet if I'm not mistaken. But as Harvey Lee said, you will be better suited to lose the support cable from the start.

Have a friend with one and his burns up a battery in 10 hours or less. They come with a 9 amp hour battery which would run a vex for 36 + hours. how long do you guys get on your battery?

I havent had mine out yet, but I talked to a guy that used his 55 for 10 hours and still had 75% of his battery left, and only the 55 comes with a 9 amp.

I have an ICE-35 (I know, a little different without the LCD display) and between 8-10 hours I only run down about 85% of my battery.

I have an ICE-45 and after about 12 hours i'm down around 80% remaining yet.

Used my dads Ice-45 for 5 hours and still had 90%.

i have a 55 and ran for 8 hrs still at 85% there does not seem to be a battery drain problem at all.

Thanks I'm thinking of picking one up next year the perms have to be off by March 15th. So I won't need the extra cable lenth anymore this year.

I have a Ice 55 and still have battery after a weekend on the lake. Love the LCD for bottom and have friends with all the other makes and no interference from any of them. Cast A Way

It took me over 24 hours of use with the back light on to burn the battery up. This flasher is great!
