The dogs run past my house so I thought I should get some pics. Wanted to get down to the starting point and get some shots of the dogs going nuts as they are being hooked up but kid needed nap.

DonBo, that's the race. I also heard about a race and to much snow. All I can think of is that they must not use the sled trails and blaze thier own.

I know they canceled the Iditarod in Alaska a few years ago, due to lack of snow. But too much? That doesn't make much sense to me.

Got to say though something about the colors seem off a bit to me.

Ya I knelt down in the trail. I have my own trail to get on the MN state trail so I could just flop back out of the way as the dogs got closer. (I gave them plenty of room) The dogs would run real tight to the edge so I did not have to move much. You could tell by the way they would look at me the dogs were rather curious at what I was doing, some of the owners as well.

See even the big boys wear them! They're not red, however. Not sure if they are as tres chic as the girls' booties. Yikes--I wonder how many sets they go through in a winter.

Race by Frazee, near Detroit Lakes was cancelled due to too much snow. Don't know why, just heard it last week.
