St. Croix River, Jig & Minnow Head. 17 1/2" long, 1" short of Mn State Record.

THE STORY: This one got off as the jig (a Silver Rapala w/ a Minnow Head) hit the bottom of the ice & it was laying there stunned because I brought it up fast, so I had to reach WAY down with my arm, give it a "Death Grip" & pulled it up into the Fish House! Arm & Fleese was soaked! HA!!

Got out in a boat for a few hours last week. I didn't get any bass but it was still a nice time out. Here are a few pics.

Ok, since nobody thought my ocean fishing pictures were funny I'll post a real one. This is my buddy, we went out Saturday 4/5/14 and caught some Minnesota Bass. Fishing was slow but this one bit a jig that was barely moving...almost deadsticking it.

I'm not a photographer, so the picture doesn't give justice. 19 1/2" and fat. Caught several today from 12" to this and a big catfish. All on a 3/8 oz black and blue Rattleback jig w pork. Water in the low 50s and all in 3' or less. Had to cross a border south of here to get them, but it was worth the drive.

Now now Chris don't hate on me because I live close to the Dakotas. It has it's upside for 1 thing in life.

Ps: That first fish was on a knockout, first jig fish of the year.
