TonkaBass
just bought some new rapalas and what not. Got a new clankin rap and a dt-20. The clankin rap is pretty cool looking, but at 7/8oz. not sure how I'll like it. The dt-20 is almost identical to the dt-16 other than the lip is a slightly diffenet shape and it has a weight in the lip. Is anyone else stocking up for next year? My buddy just bought up some bandit 700's, he says they look pretty cool. Good deals out there right now though!
Cecil
Adam, where did you find the DT-20's? I have not bought much yet. I usually start in another month or so. Might have to start earlier this year:)
Central Bassman
I have never really gotten into using bandits? i like the DT series so i will be picking up some dt-20 soon.
Cecil
Bandit makes a good crankbait, love the 200's and 300's. Have not used the 700's yet, but will be trying the bluegill color and the chartreuse shad fo sho. Gonna get that fo sho!
Deitz Dittrich
Been a Bandit fan for quite a few years...
ikeslayer
so rapala comes out a few years ago with the twitchin rap and now this year with the glidin rap they look exactly the same doesn anyone know the difference. Also check out their video page - but don't view it if you wallet cannot handle it. Pretty convincing stuff.
TonkaBass
I found the rapalas at fleet farm, but my buddy ordered the 700's off Bass Pro. If anyone knows where to find the 700's let me know! Deitz- have you had a chance to throw the 700 yet?
Cecil
I don't think the glider would respond as well to being work rapidly. The Glider is a little bigger and heavier. Meant to be worked slower. The twitch looks to have action more like an x-rap, but without the 3-5' dive.
st.crioxfishin
I've been making a list of things that I want to try this upcoming season. I haven't purchased much besides a couple more redeye shad lipless baits, but my list is getting to be long! I really like the idea RK had of having an "experiment" type box in the boat for new lures to try during the season. I will probably adopt that idea this season! Central Bassman
Good reviews for bandits, i will have to look into them!!!
RK
Hiya - I haven't done much shopping yet. March gets too painful if you get all the off season shopping done too early. A guy has to pace himself. The new Bass Pro catalog that showed up makes it tempting though. I don't have too big a list yet though. Definitely getting some more swim jigs after experimenting with them a lot last year. Some Strike King King Shads and SK Pro Model and Red Eye Shad cranks. About Bandits... I used to love 'em back when they were hand glued. I have some I still use - especially the slow sinking models. When they went to mass production the quality control went out the window I thought. For a while there maybe 3 in 5 would run right. Apparently they've gotten better - might have to try some again. The DT 20s sound cool. More excited about the DT-14 though. There are times when the DT-16 runs too deep and the 10 not deep enough... Cheers, Rob Kimm
metro fisherman
I got a new st croix spinning rod and replenished my soft baits. Also I like the Strike King series 6 for deep divers, Fat Free Shads are nice.
mrfish1991
ooooo...i like the look and action of the new xrap shallow shad
ocf1
5 packs of shadalicious with several hook packs. A red eye shad in the new sexy sunfish color(very sexy). Also, I ordered some of the live bottom walkers that were 99 cents from tackle warehouse. I had no Idea how big they were. 5 bites on that thing would definitely win a tournament! The last newer item I got was the pigskin jigs That alton brown used to win the classic.

TurnUpTheFishing
Not to hijack or anything but Do you think the DT-20 will be as effective in MN as it would be down south? I dont usually find myself cranking much deeper than 16-17'. Maybe its just me and the lakes Ive fished or the fact that I havnt tried it enough. Are the DT14s no longer a BPS exclusive? I hope so Ive been wanting them for some time now but have never got around to ordering just a few cranks from them.
TonkaBass
I think the dt20 will see plenty of casts from me this summer. I have some dt14's, like TUTF said, I got them from bass pro
Cecil
I think the 20's will be very effective. A lot of guys have only cranked the 10'-15' range, but not many have reached the 20' range. Which is the reason I think it will be effective. There is no doubt there are fish and weed clumps down that deep and if you are able to search it quickly and effectively with a crankbait, all the better. Will not be a numbers crankbait in my opinion, but could find some mother loads. Just need to have the right rod for it.
