I think it's going to be a good year

I sold my 18 foot lund in March 2008 with the intent of finding a more river appropriate craft......

Spent all summer fishing out of a smaller boat and had a great time....but got a bit frustrated toward the end of the year with the low water.

So for this year......sitting on my desk is the title for the ultimate riverboat.

I have fished out of Dennis Steele's (now owned by Fireman) RiverPro about 50 times and have wanted one for several years and I finally found one for sale when I had the money ready.......

Game on!!!

Very cool WWG grin

Now if one is standing on the side walk in down town Carver on a balmy summer evening and hears a loud Dukes of Hazard "YEEEE HAAA" scream coming from over by the river, you will know who it is now wink

That's what I meant by the "YEEE HAAA" in Carver grin

I know Ed and Kyle are crazy when it comes to jet boats and the river, but I would figure John would be crazier grin

I guess we will see or hear about it this spring or sooner grin

Congrats, John! Hey, we should start a pool on who will be the first guy to catch a 50 pounder out of your new boat. Well, since Darren always gets 50 pounders, the safe money would be on him. Maybe we don't want to jinx anyone though, maybe we ought to just put the pool on 'when' rather than 'who'. I'll put my money on May 30.

I wonder what’s “luckier”?

Fishing 5 days a week all summer and hooking into a couple 50’s, or catching a 48, 5 minutes into your first outing of the year wink

At what point is it not “Luck” anymore? cool

I think luck is in the eye of the beholder......I feel pretty lucky to spend as much time on the water as I do. And I feel lucky to share that time with some pretty interesting catfisherman......

I really don't care about the big fish that much.....I am all about just being out there and enjoying whatever the river has to offer on any given day.
