WIFisher
I went up this weekend and fished 7 different lakes in the area. Found it to be a very tough bite but if ya work for em itl pay off and thats what we did! Ended up getting some huge gills and a few decent crappies..BTW we found anywhere from 2-9 inches... The ice depth really depends on depth and snow cover.Be safe!Ryan

Scott K
There can be some great fishing from the flowage, but use caution on the lake, as there is current in there.

WIFisher
Siren Area-Went out this weekend with the snowmobile. Found the lakes to be very slushy and tough to move around on. Had anywhere from 7-10 inches of good ice with slushy snow on top.. Only fished for about an hour but managed one really nice 13" crappie in 12FOW. Saw one truck drive out along the shore and lots of snowmobiles and wheelers out runnin around..I'm hopin by next weekend most of the slush will be frozen up to make it easier to navigate.Ryan

snoozebutton
Can't help you much CrappieKilla. Been doing quite a but of fishing, just not much catching. Hit Clam on Thursday and caught one crappie and a small northern. My buddy and his wife were fishing next to me and they got 3 crappies, they also had some tip ups out and caught 5 or 6 small northerns. I think it's still a little early for that lake.Friday I went out to Rice and caught quite a few bluegills and kept a dozen pretty decent ones for a meal. And just got back from a really small lake I tried and caught 8 crappies there but they ran pretty small. 5 were big enough for the pan the biggest being around 12 inches.
