treble
Quote:just so all of the "Vikings fans" who want him here can get it rubbed in their noses. It wouldn't be rubbed in our noses at all. So you would be perfectly happy if we acquired Farve, he loses the game for us in the playoffs, and we get to deal with his drama all next summer, and throw away our efforts in progressing Tavaris? Badger
Have you no morals? The whole thing just makes me sick.No matter how good she looks, you can't sleep with your best friend's girl. And in this case, she comes with a helluva lotta baggage. Do you really want to deal with this Favre circus next summer too? The guy's a nut case, drama queen, etc.... Took too many pain killers in his day.Take away last year, and tell me what he's done in the last decade? I agree, he's probably better than what we have now. My point is... I DON'T CARE. I don't want the headache or the stigma that he'd leave here if we did actually do something special this year. I, for one, would just be sick if we won the big one with Green Bay's quarterback. I'd rather eat broken glass. The only benefit that could come of it would be that we would finally get rid of Ballinger (hopefully they'd keep Booty). Wadinator...Here's some #'s from Favre in the last decade. 2001 32td's 15int 3,921yds rating 94.12002 27td's 16int 3,658yds rating 85.62003 32td's 21int 3,361yds rating 90.42004 30td's 17int 4,088yds rating 92.42007 28td's 15int 4,155yds rating 95.7Tarvaris won't come close to those numbers this year!!!Why don't you want Favre? You already have Sharper and Longwell...eventually when you get enough Packer players, you might be a contender!!! LOL
Hammer Handle
Can we help it if the Packer players like MN better and come hear?We will take your unhappy players, and send you the people we cut for they are drunks.Even if Favre goes 0-10 the first ten games, I would take him. Just to see the Packers idol play for us...even if he flops. Priceless....
Scott K
I dont like Favre at all, and I dont want him playing in MN! Although it would be cool just for him to play one game as a Viking, game one this year! Then cut him!

Although it would be cool just for him to play one game as a Viking, game one this year! Then cut him! Now here is a good idea. The thought of Favre wearing purple turns my stomache but let him play against the pack that 1st game and cut him would be great!

Sandmannd
Looks to me like he avaraged about 50% interceptions. That's not all that great.

Scott K
I dont consider Favre the enemy, I just dont like him, he is a pre-modana, always looking for the media, and he isnt a nice person. We dont want him over here whinning about every play that doesnt go his way. Let him retire, I am sick of hearing about him!
Dahitman44
He has been the face of the enemy for a long time.It would be strange seeing him in purple, but is might be fun to mess with every Packer-Backer in the world ...

Scott K
It sounds as though the packers are having try outs for QB again! And it is an open competition, they are even going to allow old, retired washed up Qb's to tryout
PierBridge
Favre just scored ANOTHER touchdown! (his plane landed in GB). YEP! He sure called their bluff Favre knew he had the Nut's! Hey Ted here is the deal you can bring me back or I'll play for the Vikes!... Hope I'm wrong but this is bad news for us if Favre beats out Rodger's in this so called open competition for the starting QB job....LOL!
croixflats
I dont think its bad news. It will be that much more sweeter when our defense tears up the Pack apart Shoot the preasure he's gonna get will help him add to his interception record. MinnesotaMongo
The STRIB is reporting late Sunday night that the Pack has had preliminary trade talks with the Vikes - just letting them know he's available.Good gravy - it's going to be happening. Love him or hate him - this could be a very entertaining year!
mnwild
I am glad he is back with the team, both parties are to blame for the circus atmosphere the last 3 weeks and in the end he is back and that's all that matters. Now having to compete for the starting job, that is a joke in my mind. The guy has been starting for how many years and he has to compete for HIS job. I know he retired and Rodgers was givin the job but you have a much better chance of winning with Favre taking the snaps.Let Favre play this year and maybe the following year and groom Brohm to take over for him WHEN HE FINALLY DECIDES TO RETIRE FOR GOOD.
