I just wish he wasn't a number 69 guy. It tells me a lot about him. He even had his contract end in .69. He might be a great ball player, but c'mon. 69 stopped being funny in junior high.

I see your point, Setterguy, although I'm not sure it tells me a lot about him.

It makes me wonder if he wears it now because its childishly funny to him, or because it used to be childishly funny to him and now he wears it just because it's his number.

Either way I don't particularly care as long as the guy is a good teammate and continues to sack the qb.

Lets just say that every guy that I've ever met that wore #69, whether it was in football, softball, broomball or volleyball all had some of the same personality traits. I doesn't really bother me, as long as he gets 69 sacks.

I thought it was funny when he celebrated his sack with the windup jack-in-the-box, an obvious dig at Steve Smith saying he felt like a jack-in-the-box that was all wound up and ready to spring. Funny too since Smith did the whole "love boat" rowing thing a couple years ago.

If I remember right, he gets a cut of his jersey sales. I know what you are saying about that number, and the guys who seem to wear it- but its money in his pocket, and it almost makes him seem smart to have that number

ol jared...he's a beast out there...hasn't done a whole lot stats wise for us yet but man he's almost in there on every play...i know he makes teams come up with game plans just to try and stop him.

he's got 2 sacks so far though...almost half way there already of our sack leader last season in 3 games lol.

anyone else think he'll have a couple games this year that he gets 3-4 sacks a game? i know i do....we just got a taste of what can happen if teams have to pass on us to try and catch up...he'll be forcing some fumbles here shortly too.

Frankly I don't care about how many sacks he gets if he continues play like he has the last couple games..... he's been nothing short of amazing the last 2 games!

he only has two sacks, but heres something to think about:

the tackles he has been up against have accounted for 6 holding penalties so far since its the only way to stop him

I agree, he's been awesome and it frees up the other guys to come flying in. The holding calls are great as well. He's just a stud player.

That viking line has beat up the last 2 QB's. It will continue this week. Its a good matchup for the vikes D. I don't see TN scoring much.
