Is anyone else freaking out?

Every single day I check the bass forum multiple time like it's going to make the ice melt faster and I run home on my lunch breaks checking the mail for new rods that I ordered even though I can't use them yet. And when I'm at home I rig up platics like I'm sitting in a boat about to use them....

Anybody else got the itch that bad?

Its pretty bad. My dad got a new Z-7 this winter, and we have been fishing out of a 1981 15.5ft Skeeter. That is a little upgrade. Luckily I don't live at home anymore so I don't have to look at it everyday, but when I do it is bad. Last time I was home it snowed 6", but I still had to try a reel out on a custom rod built by the same guy that I will be getting mine from on friday. Speaking of friday it is our new members night/tackle swap for our bass club, so we will all go and tell most of the same fishing stories we did last year and get even more pumped up. It gonna be a long wait yet.

Here's bad for you - I bought a 10 gal fishtank so I could balance my suspending baits and test the actions of some new jigheads and finesse worms where I could observe the results.

Picking up my new custom dock rod soon and was at three different Bass Pro Shop locations last week. It is driving me crazy at this point....

I got my boat out of storage 2 weeks ago and was organizing my new rods and looking at what I want to upgrade. Are 17 rods too many to take along everytime? I know I need to retire some but its just too dang hard to let them go.

Your right Deitz. Or you get it to suspend perfectly. Then you shave the bill and tweek the line tie just so, now it has a perfect roll and slow wobble in the tank. Then you change the hooks out, re-test it and thank GOD nothing changed, still the perfect lure. First cast, two cranks on the handle... musky or norther, bye-bye-all gone, so sorry, partner laughs his but off, game over... you get the picture.

I'm ready to go too. Been able to scratch the itch a little bit by getting the new boat out on the river and catching a few rough fish(Walleyes/Saugers). I have heard of a few smallies caught also, havn't tried for bass yet though.

While all you guys are driving yourself nuts, some of us are out there actually catching fish...and even bass! I've been out tons lately--gotta love daylight savings!--and I've caught a fair amount of largies on my tiny ratsos and diamond jigs. Plus, there's nothing better than looking down the hole to see a big ol' bass eyeing up your poor little jig. And then the gills flare...sluuurp...and the battle is on!!! And the crappies don't taste so bad, either!
