The Crappie Secret

Interesting read, although I never heard of it.

Notice it is banned from use in Mn.

Sure needed something to trigger crappie action Monday night.

Tried the all night program and marked fish solid from 8 pm until 7:30 am. Was in 36' of water and they were solid from 22' to the bottom the entire time. Never seen so much green/red bars continuous on my LX-3.

Not one fish the entire night. (was very frustrating/confusing)

The only thing the guy can garuantee is "Catching your money out of your wallet!" Plus using artificial light in MN is illegal. So we must be one of the 2 states it has been banned in.

Just some thoughts before someone falls victim to his scam!

Later,

Anyone who would buy something from someone who will not show a photo of what you are buying has to be a nuts, 90 day moneyback or not. Good luck on collecting that. I have a fish catching secret if you want to give me 195.00 I'll tell you. ;)... You will catch a lot more fish by simply being part of this forum and it's free. Only 2 states ban it? Heck in Minnesota you almost have to get a permit to breathe. Give these elected wackos a few more years and that will happen to.

I would be willing to bet it is just a black light.

I think its probably some sort of electric/electro fishing. If you see they are using the description of a battery & lighting equipment.

Somehow the fish is attracted to it, the current isn't strong enought to imobilize the fish but they are attracted to the current bringing in swarms of fish.

Another thing I have also seen are these special nets or these light tubes that supposedly swarm & attract baitfish together bring in the gamefish. Used mostly by salt water Anglers.

Anyhow it's clearly that the object is to attract baitfish to draw the gamefish. This is common gimmick in saltwater fishing.

What I heard of it, its something that attracks plankton, and that attracks, baitfish, and that attracks crappies. I looked at it about a year ago. Scam! What I took of it it was basicly a light you put in the water, IR I think.

I don't know about this crappie secret thing yet? But has anyone thought of taking a gallon glass jar full of shiners and suspending it down in the water column in a crappie area to attract and hold fish? Just an idea ive been thinking about but i dont if it's legal?Do you guy's think it would work?

The glass jar thing was discussed ad nauseam about a month ago. Some OF’s wrote about using them and having success, others wrote zip luck. Then it took off on whether it was illegal, no firm answer. To carry it to the absurd others wrote about what happens if the jar breaks and you litter the lake or release odd things into the water.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
