I have the Lowrance I-finder Expedition C, it works great paired with the Navionics North chip. Has anybody seen or have the new Lowrance XOG......I'd like to hear some reviews on this unit, it looks pretty sweet.

was at scheels yesterday and bought my H2O and its pretty easy to use i just gotta get into the manual to learn more, but he said that it can get within 7 or so feet of the point your looking for, so for that i am not feeling too bad. cant wait to use it. Stupid tests i have beentaking, and the if the snow god would just take a vaca i could go fishing.

My lakemaster chip is about 2 years old and it does not have any detail of Lake of the Woods either side of the border. The HSOforum for that firm shows a seperate chip for LOTW and has a note under it saying that Canadian data is available.

According to the Cabelas compare the H20 has only 12 Receiver channels where as the Expedition C has 16. The Expedition only has 64MB of internal download memory where the H20 has 128MB. The H20 has a 240x180 resolution and the Expedition is 320x240. The Expedition has a built-in electronic compass and Barometric Altimeter. The Expedition allows you to record voice notes for waypoints and also play MP3s.

Go with the Expedition for sure.

If you look at the Cab----- HSOforum you can compare the features of a lot of units.

Do I understand that for an extra $30 if I buy the Expedition I get less detailed base maps and can listen to music on what has to be a pretty crappy speaker? Boy, that seems like a tough decision to make.

Nope, they come with the same base maps.

Actually it has a digital compasss and barometer. I think these are handy items. I think the expidition has better resolution on the screen as well. I don't think there is any speaker in it. I have been contemplating upgrading from the H20c to the Expidition. Maybe next year.

I like many others have and like the H20. I've got the B&W...Its 2-3 yrs old. And not certain how good the color ones are now....but back then, the B&W was the way to go...for one, you could see the screen better when it was lighter out, and #2, it didn't swallow up batteries as fast as the color version. I haven't been up to speed on the new units themselves...just the chips...and let me tell you...They are unbelievable...

The expedition c is a i finder. I have this one 269.99 and 79.99 for lake master pro. Go with the H20c and add the chip in the future color is the best option going now for GPS's. making out contour lines is so much easier on the eyes. Reed's has best deals and free shipping.
