What is everyone faviort ice fishing lake. I would say mine is Clearwater lake.

St.Louis river, Lake Superior when it freezes enough to walk out, Little Island Lake by Sturgion Lake and now Burntside for the Bash! LOW cant be beat and Winny is fun too.

Which Clearwater are you talking about? I fish Clearwater Lake up near Brainerd/Garrison.

I like to find a lot of the smaller lakes during early ice for crappies.

IS the ice fishing pretty good out on lake Superior? What are you catching out there?

Depends on the years weather. Last year was COLD so we got out off of Wi. Point in March. Walleyes and Lakers. Had a couple CRAZY good Walleye nights. I think its gotten enough ice twice in 15 years? Just nice to extend the season a bit!

L.O.W. is great so is Red but I usually fish around the Duluth area mostly on the River and Fish Lake and some other small lakes.
As for Superior ice fishing? If there is enough ice to get out, its a real treat to see lakers and loopers swim by the hole and its a big bonus when 1 grabs the line. Just gotta watch out for rocks going by your hole
then you gotta run. I have had my best luck off the French mostly and some ok fishing off of 21st East off the lakewalk also.
try under the Oliver bridge for slabs and eyes.

LOW is awesome! Especially early and late ice. Don't forget about Winnie and Devil's Lake for perch too. I also found a liking to a lot of Metro Area lakes for crappies and gills.

I have to say that my best time ice fishing was out on LOW, so therefor that is my favorite pick. I have been to mille lacs, leech and others, but nothing compares to the LOW.
