Seniors need Lic?

I believe so. I just checked the DNR site and there doesn't seem to have any age cap limits. This is where I found it:

DNR Licensing Reg's

I did find that if you are 65 or older and want to spear you would be exempt from purchasing a dark house spearing license but would still need an angling license to spear in possession. Hope the info helps.

A bit off topic, but if your disabled you can get a free license:

A one-year or permanent Minnesota Fishing License may be issued, without charge, to any resident of Minnesota who is at least 16 years old and is receiving social security or worker's compensation based on a disability. A veteran who has a 100% service connected disability as defined by the United States Veterans Administration (VA) may also be eligible for a permanent fishing license. All Permanent Fishing Licenses will be issued from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, License Center in St. Paul. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/index.html or, [email protected] Consumer Information Line: 651-296-6157 or 1-888-646-6367 TTY: 651-296-5484 or 1-800-657-3929

I am Railroad retired, and on a Railroad Disability. Im only 54 but work for 31 years and was hurt at work. Because I was a Federal Employee I dont pay for my license. I dont think it was fare for the state to stop giving a senior license just because we get them now!! That should be changed!!!

I know my grandpa, before he passed, always bought a license and never complained about it. He thought it was the responsiblity of the sportsman to contribute to the sport he loved.

we are talking what $18.... I don't care what age you are if you are over 16 and want to fish I think you can come up with $18 to have the ability to fish all year in the best fishing opportunity state!! I could understand if the lic was an astronomical price but it ain't. That is like a nickel a day.
