LABS4ME
North Carolina? My friend at work said it's his neighbor's, friend's, brother who shot that deer. Seems him and his brother went in together and bought 12 acres of land and have been intesivley applying QDM practices to the land for the last 3 or so years. His brother shot what they think is the Dad to this buck, and was a little miffed that his brother harvested it this year. They figured it was at best a 3 1/2 year old and with the genes they have on that 12 acre piece and another years growth, it would've looked like his dad. These guys are serious hunters and would never think of applying to get their names in the record books. In fact they aren't even sure what the world record buck's measurements are and the fact that the dad of this buck would probably surpass it. They are truly meat hunters and hang all their racks out on the barn after butchering the deer. These guys must be the luckiest sportsman alive... because I was told their younger brother is the guy who caught that world record northern up on the Rainey River last year... I remember getting an e-mail about that fish last year... does anyone else remeber seeing it? I can probably dig it up if anyone wants to see that too... I'm sure it's all true because I got it from my buddy at work on my e-mail... Oh yeah, I dug up the pic of the Dad to this buck from last year's e-mail... enjoy! !!!!!! hehehe Good Luck! Shoot2Kill
That was funny. It only took 12 acres to grow a buck like that? I own 4, maybe I can grow one half that big by next year and let my mother in laws brothers unlce and his 3rd step child come out and hunt it. Tippman
Ha, I had that one too a while back Labs. So does anyone have any credible info on this deer? Shoot2kill? My email basically said it was taken in North Carolina down in the grasses on the Neuse River. Not a whole lot of info.

BeerHunter
The Info is On B&C Trophy watch just like the one with the antler coming out of its eye. Here is the story. Kentucky Giant December 5, 2007 This buck was reportedly taken this fall in the Pennyrile Forest State Park in Kentucky. No word on the lucky hunter yet.
