Favorite Pike Lure

Recommended Posts

After hitting 3 pike in one troll on the lake last summer on my uncle's Berkley Frenzy Diving Minnow (Perch), I ran out and bought a couple for myself, and they've been great.

And I'll second everything the other guys have said about white/yellow spinners and the good 'ol red/white Daredevil spoon.

As i stated before:

Northland Tackle has some great lures that will handle any pike in the water. They make everything that you can possible think of.

The bucktails are a awesome lure that alot of people use. I feel like i stated before, the spinnerbaits is still the best tactic when it comes to fishing for monster pike. I use ither: Northland, Strike King, or custom from Flamen. There all great lures.

gopher tackle safety pin type spinner with sucker. trolled or cast. i don't use a leader with very few bite offs. have caught lots of bass and some walleye on them while northern fishing.

BOOYAH clacker Buzzbait with a trailer hook. By far the most fun and productive lure Ive ever used. When you have 20lb pike hit this on top it sounds like a fat kid bellyflopping into a pool.

When I was younger I always trolled spoons with a lot of success...but these days I can't seem to keep them off my line when I'm using any brightly colored musky lure, especially something with a real erratic action.
