Two 7 pounders (~22 inches each) one on a buzzbait midsummer, the other on pig-n-jig in March. Both were on Lake Chickamauga (Tennessee River) in southeast Tennessee. Here in Minnesota, my best is 6 1/2 pounds (21 inch and fat) on opening weekend in 2003 on a Rapala Husky Jerk ripped through shallow weeds.

My biggest Smallie was 19" caught on Borden lake (not really known as a smallmouth lake) under a dock with a senko in the fall. Plus, it was only the second smallie I'd ever caught. FUN

Biggest Largie was 20.5 on Buffalo lake throwing spinnerbaits for pike on the outside weedline. It was caught before Memorial Day frown.gif. Not sure if it still counts. But at least it wasn't on a bed!

Great thread - should be fun to read:

Largemouth: 20.5" just over 5 lbs on a buzzbait on O'Dowd last summer from the canoe -- very fun to catch.

Smallie: 19.5" on the St. Croix just under 5 lbs on a little zara spook -- even more fun to catch!

I get so excited just trying to imagine what it is like to hook into, fight, land a 6+ pounder!! Someday, right?

Keep on keepin' on all! cool.gif

Oops, looks like the question was biggest bass and do to my high energy I babbled off everything I could think off...That being said I might as well add a 20lb carp ice fishing and open water.

Deitz or anyone for that matter. Has anyone hit the 300 bass club yet?

My biggest Bass came on Potato lake in the PR area it was 23.5 inches and weight about 7.5 pounds. I caught her on a dark green SCUM FROG, the best bait in the world, these thing's produce constantly, and there is nothing like seeing a big explosion like that.Scummie

My personnel best a 21" out of Cedar Lake (faribo) Black-n-blue jig with exude trailer just before duck opener last year

My daughter landed a 23.5 PIGGY out of Mazaska(the fish is still out there) this year on Walleye opener working a sharp wind blown break on a jig-n-minnow combo. (She out fishes dear ole Dad all the time)

Fever, the panfish ones I am pretty sure I will never see again. These took place many many years ago on a lake by Ely. There were "mutant" sunfish the size of dinner plates on their beds and in a back bay there were the crappie that were all 14-16" beasts. For the crappies we were jigging for walleyes and surprise monster crappie.

The others listed all have a chance to be topped. One thing I would like to do is try for the sturgeon on LOW.

Oh I just remembered I have got some nice cats on the horseshoe chain ice fishing. I would guess 7lbs to be the largest but that would be more speculation that fact.

I also will say some of the big carp I have got on the Mississippi that have pulled me around have also been a blast. Carp are very under-rated and under fished. Great fighters.

Deitz, I am at 301 and on Saturday I will be in Little Falls fishing an area primarely for walleye. However, there is also some great small mouth areas and I am hoping to spend a few hours chasing the smallies and adding to the total. I also am going to get out for a few hours on Sunday morning at my neiborhood pond and hope to add a few.

This may or may not be my biggest bass...

lm1.jpg

It weighed 5lb. 12oz. and seemed a bit skinny. Im guessing she just spawned. I say might be my biggest because I dont really weigh fish anymore, just measure them and I didnt get a measurement of this fish.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
