Favorite Walleye Lakes

It has been a while since this topic has came up.

So what is your favorite walleye water?

Mine would have to be hands down Rainy Lake. A close second would be anywhere on the Mississippi River or anywhere on the Missourri River.

The Eastern SD lakes would also have to rank right up there on top too!

I don't get a chance to travel around to many different lakes, but Rainy is also my #1 choice although I hit the Canada side. Headed up to Vermilion for a few days in August to see what that's like. Missouri River has always been good to me.

The Mississippi, St Croix and Mille lacs. I don't get north too often. I feel most at home on moving water, but Mille lacs in the fall is pretty good too.

Don't overlook Lake Superior big eyes south shore out Superior entry mid to late July

Can't argue with Mille Lacs, Winnie, or the Miss for waters around here.

A little farther from home I like Lac Seul.

But hands down my favorite is Erie in mid-April. If you like to troll open water and if you like BIG walleyes, I can't imagine anything that would be better.

I'd add Mille Lacs and Rice Lake near Paynesville as well.

Id put Winnie as my favorite, followed by Mille Lacs, Pepin, and Dogtooth after the recent trip there. And my sleeper is a little lake by the name of Madison.
