I've been sneaking out a bit lately and have found some good Walleyes after dark. Here are a couple from my most recent outing...

This was a 27"er that came off a Glass Perch Husky Jerk. I was using the 8'6" Lighting rod and a the new 5500 Line Counter from Abu Garcia. That reel is pretty sweet and handled the fish beautifully.

The next fish was caught on the Clown colored Husky Jerk. It is also 27" but a bit thinner than the first fish.

I look forward to seeing more nice Walleye pictures from everyone and hopefully I'll have a chance to share a few more fish as well. laugh.gif

Good luck,

Here's one from a new lake last night. I caught this fish on a deep diving Berkley Frenzy Perch pattern. The 5500LC reel did a nice job of keeping my bait at the correct depth. Fireline was a must as it helped alert me of weeds or leaves that came in contact with the crankbait.

Here is another smaller fish that fell for the same tactics...

I know what you are saying about the different colored Walleyes. What I can gather is that darker colored Walleyes are deep or weed oriented fish. The more pale Walleyes are likely suspending fish or spend some more time in shallow water. Another factor in the coloring of Walleyes can be water clarity in a lake/river or bottom content that they relate to.

Either way they are neat looking fish! laugh.gif

Good luck,
