CodyDawg
First let me say I am a big Vikes fan. But I am also a realist. they will not be good this year with all the new faces, which will set them up for a good 07 draft. THEN they will be good. I say 5-11. fishinphilth
I am not a realist just a fool, 13-3. Brad Johnson league MVP. Ok maybe not. I think they will need to be 10-6 to take the disvision this year. Packers 7-9, 2 losing years in a row for Brett, man that would suck.
Walleyeguy31
I say the Vikes will go 9 and 7 and the Buttmunches will go 7-9.

Woodsy
I say this is the year Brett Farve finally gets hurt and has to sit out a few games or half the season. Then we will get to see how Aaron Rodgers performs. As for the Vikes, I say 9 and 7 sounds about right, maybe 10 and 6.
JIvers
I speak as an unapologetic Viking fan, Bear-basher, and Packer-hater who is trying to be objective...Vikings 9-7 (Wild Card), Packers 6-10 (no playoffs, obviously), Bears 10-6 (Division Champs). I really hate typing that last part! Having not improved their offense in any meaningful way, the Bears will make another early exit from the playoffs, as will the Vikings, who are not "there" yet, either. Tonka Boy
I'm a big Vikes fan, but I don't like what they've done in the off season. No quarterback (or offense) will give them a 2-14 record (usually I'm optimistic too). They will sweep the 0-16 Packers however!!

freddie
Don't wanna make any enemies, but the Vi-Queens will get swept by the Packers AND the bears. Don't know which one I hate more, probably the bears. No walleyes in chicago.Really? Brad Johnson as MVP??
Meaney
less than average is all you need to say about the vikes this year! lets hope not...
jts
Packers improved defense will make little ole BJ look like a fool. They 49 million dollars spent on the running game more likely than not will go wasted, the running game for the vikes always does.
ellroy2
I couldn't agree with jts anymore. Luckily the Packers, or Vikings for that matter, won't have to try and stop Larry Johnson, or someone of the likes.
Johnny_Namakan
Come on guys, are you forgetting that we will have one of the premier O-lines in the league. McKinney, Birk, Hutchinson. Remember the days of Emmitt Smith. He was running through holes that I could drive my Ram through. Plus we have L. Johnson at fullback leading the way through those huge holes that will be provided. We have a QB that makes smart decisions on the field and hits his receivers on the numbers 90% of the time. We have a couple great tight ends. I could go on and on. Our defense starte dcoming together at the end of last year, and if the Williams boys stay tough up front we'll force the other QB into some pressure decisions. Plus with our strengthened LB crew, which has struggled for years, we should be a team to reckon with. On top of that we have a Bill Parcels type coach who isn't going to settle for second rate play on the field. I don't blame you guys for being pessimistic, especially after the last couple years (actually I think a lot of the Vikings fans problems goes back to the Atlanta game that we gave away to go to the big show) we've had, but I think 11-5 is very do-able. jts
Did u just compare MN o-line to that of the glory days of the dallas cowboys? Come on that is so out of line. Also how can you the new Head coach is a Bill Parcels type coach when he hasn't ever been a head coach?? I do agree with one part of that post, that BJ can hit a receiver 90 percent of the time. Well as long as it's a pass under 10 yards he can.

Johnson, he is the running back for kansas city. We did sign their full back Tony Richardson who was good but he is in his 12th season so he's getting up there in age. Johnny_Namakan
jts I was describing Childress' character and personality not his coaching ability. Read the post! Also, I can compare our O-line to that of Dallas. When you have one of, if not the number one center in the league, plus the number one gaurd in the league (Hutchinson), along with Mckinnie who is without question one of the top tackles in the league, come on man. The question should be how can't you. Well your opinion is yours to have. I'm not a packer fan but they is something to be said about their fans. They stick with their team through thick and thin and are always positive. Not here. All I seem to be hearing is negativity. All I know is don't jump on the wagon this Fall when they are doing well. Regarding L Johnson: Brain fart! I meant Tony, but you caught the jist. He will do very well with our system.
namtkd1
I am going to bite my tongue but I say 11-5. Chester Taylor will have a break out year and carry the load for us! Our passing game will be average in the league.Nam
PikeTipper
Tough to guess a record for next year, I would guess 8-8 but our division is so bad that we could do better. If anything happens to Brad next year we are in big trouble. I went to the Eagles/Packers game over Thanksgiving last year in Phili which was the 1st game after McNabb was out for the season. Mike McMahon looked TERRIBLE!!!! I thought he played OK in Detroit when they had him but that Sunday was not his day.
island guy
6-10 is about the best I expect. I like to think low then be happy with a 8-8.

mnwild
I had to bring this back for 1 more go around. How did everyones predictions go?? Island guy nailed it right on with a 6-10 and nobody gave the Packers a chance and thats what I love about this the most. Packers (8-8 2nd) the Queens (6-10 3rd), I love it.... bottomdweller
Looks like the purple players wont play for childy. Not sure if ya get rid of the coach or the players. O line is just hapless. They didnt even suit up williamson.
island guy
My 6-10 prediction won me $20 in a office pool. I hope I'm proven wrong but 6-10 may be a bit lofty for next year. Childress seems in way over his head. Doesn't seem to have the respect of his players and his game plans don't exactly strike fear into opposing teams. I think the Vikes would do well to follow suit with the U and start fresh as far as coaches go. Childress just doesn't have it.
