Matt Johnson
What an outstanding event! I've attended the last couple Cool Cats and they have been nothing short of exceptional! This is one of those events where A LOT of laughs and stories are told, as well as one heck of a good feed! Some very good fishing to be has as well, and catching a catfish through the ice is an experience that is well worth the trip! Catfish are probably one of my favorite species to target through the ice, what a blast! I'll be there, no doubt about that!

Captain B.R.K
I agree, this is a GREAT EVENT were lots of people come together and make what this site is all about....HAVE MORE FUN! I had the chance to attend lasts year event and what a turn out we had! I unfortunately won't be able to attend this years event. I have another trip planned for this weekend. But if things change, I would definately consider being at the Cool Cats 2006 gathering.
fisherking01
Barring a tragedy, I'll be there along with my son. I've spent the past eleven months hearing the question, "WHEN ARE WE GOING TO COOL CATS ON HORSESHOE LAKE?" What a great time this event is. Really looking forward to the 4th. Dennis if you would like any help from me I will be available, just drop me a note at [email protected]

Deitz Dittrich
ky-typical walleye stuff has always worked for me. Go Devil Spoons, Rattle Varmits, Angle eye Jr. and a minnow head.
Dan Thiem
With much regret, Young Gun and I will have to miss this one. The Zumbo Zinger is the same day, so unless scientists speed up the cloning experiments we can't be in two places at the same time. Shame too, because this event really is fun! Fishheads catfish fillets are worth the trip alone. Mmmm mmmmm good!So everybody take lots and lots of picture and be sure to post them.
metrojoe
hmmmm...Cool Cats or Zumbro Zinger? Both I'm sure will be a blast. Boy...this is going to be a tough decision.

My oldest son just got back from Afghanistan so the plan is for me and my four, count em,FOUR sons to be there. Is the fishing world ready for that much rowdiness?? When you see them eat, you'll realize why I'm a poor man. Monetarily, that is.

icehousebob
Hey dennis, besides the barbequed beans, do you think anyone would object to my gang also bringing the fixings for chili cheese dogs with everything?? Since its a cat gathering, I don't want to offend people with the dog stuff. If all else fails, my boys and I will eat them all.
Dennis Steele
We sure could put the dogs and the cats on the table and see if they get along.
Kylersk
Ok, I'm in along with a buddy. Now to the question I always ask on these get togethers.. Should I bring my wheeler? Or will most be driving on the ice?
Dennis Steele
I was on the 'Shoe today and found a good 16 to 18" of ice near the event location. We did drive out to the event location in my 3/4ton truck. If you plan to investigate other areas of the lake, I would bring a sled or wheeler. The Horseshoe system is a large chain with current running between the lakes. If you decide to drive out to the location, it would be best to access at the winter access marked on the map and stay on the ice road.I am getting excited about seeing everyone there. I recieved some great prizes to give away from our ICE Series sponsors. The only cost of the raffle is you have to say hello to me!ALso don't forget the pot luck lunch and fish fry around noon. SOunds like there will be some good digs!

Matt Johnson
I plan on fishing out there on Friday. I'll check on a few other areas and see what things look like and I'll have a report for people at the event on Saturday...I'm excited for this event! Less than a week away!
