Thanks for the info guys. I went back on there and read the rules, then made my picks and pretty well figured out what the lists were all about. Two things I'm a little confused on yet in regards to my "active" picks.

1) I selected my active picks already, but can they be changed after qualifying or do they have to be made before qualifying?

2)Each week I can add to my list of selections for each A, B, C list, is that correct? I'd assume so, since if you were only able to select 2 drivers for the year, and they're only valid for 9 races, you'd run out after 18 races for the A and C lists.

I'd tried understanding the rules on this, but it's still a little foggy to me. Any help would be appreciated.

You can change between your active drivers after qualifying but I don't remember exactly when they lock them in.

You don't pick drivers for the year. After the race and before next weeks qualifying you can change out the drivers you have for others (that are still usable, less than nine races) that are on the list. Don't burn up your favorite drivers from each list in the first nine races. It's a marathon not a sprint. The season is split into two halves so your list wills get re-aranged at the break. There will be some drivers that move up and some that move down on the lists. Things don't reset for the chase but I think we can have some fun with that too.

So I pick 8 drivers....2 from A, 4 from B, and 2 from C. Those are the 8 drivers I use for 9 races or do I get to change them up as the season goes on? I don't understand the rules. 9 races, only use each driver once, but pick only 8 drivers? Doesn't add up. Then I mark 1 active for A, 2 for B and 1 for C. I don't see the reason for picking 8 drivers if you can only start 4. I'm confused....

The league I've been in has 8 division and you pick one driver from each every week. There is no limit on the number of times you use them.

You can swap drivers out each week from each list, but you can only use each one 9 times per half season. You should end up with lots of drivers that you don't use.

The reason you have "picked" drivers that don't count is for when you forget to change them before qualifying. On list "A" for example, you have (for example here) Gordon and Stewart. You have the "X" by Gordon and both cars qualify but Stewart is on the pole and Gordon in the back. You can change the "X" to Stewart if you want to, making him your picked driver for the race. This system is pretty easy to follow but it does not reward you for not keeping up with it. If you stay on top of the game you can do really well.

Well I'm in. I have absolutely no clue as to what I'm doing, but I'm in. There won't be any strategy on my part, but it will make the races more interesting and maybe I'll actually learn something about NASCAR.

I just picked the brain of the resident expert here at work, so hopefully he has steared me in the right direction.

I don't know how this would work, but it would be interesting to have one slot open for a rookie. A "D" lister I guess.
