I just used the windows movie editor that came on the computer, i have a sony vaio, with all the media goodies, it wasnt very hard to do. and yes it was my first fishing trip with the aqua view, it was the second hole we had drilled, i first used the vex, and saw there was a solid line at 10 feet, so dropped the camera and that is what appeared. i yelled to the other guys about 25 yards away and they all ran over as fast as they could. and then i grabbed the video camera. it was a good way to break in the new aqua-vu. wink.gif

Sweet,

Very nice Video.

On Mille lacs one year about Noon fishing by Shermans point, I looked down my hole about 10ft down and saw a school of walleyes at least 100 hundred under the house , wish I would of had a carmera back then.

That was in the Fergus area???? I grew up in Fergus and am familiar with most of the lakes there - I cant think of any that I know have gar??? Now you really have my curiosity peaked!!! Can you give me a hint - that only someone from Fergus would know?? Dont worry - I dont want to fish the lake - just wondering which one it is.... wink.gif

The Mn DNR web site says we have those on Mazaska, as well. I've seen dogfish taken out of that lake, but not a gar. A quick Google search turned up some info about how to catch them - with their bony snout, they say most people don't catch them, unless they get snagged (or speared). Weird, wild wacky stuff.......

Wow! I would have never guessed they were found in a MN lake. I grew up less than 20 minutes from Fergus Falls...still sometimes fish nearby waters....but holy dump..if I saw one of those come up threw the hole, I might have a heart attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif

Well....your clue may have been too good - I am pretty sure I am close. I know the pdt river runs through G and LL in the area. I am pretty sure that any lake that the pdt runs through has Gar....gotta be pretty close with that!

Yep, Pomme de Terre system has gar. When I was a kid, there used to be a fish trap in the channel between North and South 10 Mile Lakes. When they had the gates closed, there would always be a lot of gar and big carp in there.

We see them on Stalker a lot in the summer.
