Whatcha Got....

Recommended Posts

does it have to be a bow?

I shoot a Remington 700 Sendero in 7mm Mag. I had some trigger work done and a VX3 3.5-10 on it. With handloads i can put 3 inside a dime pretty darn often. 14 deer, missed once, never lost any.

Not these days! I shot competively in the late 80's & early 90's...Had a pretty, blue Firecat for indoor targets and the camo Firecat, I am still currently using, was my 3-D and outdoor bow. At the time they were "top of the line" in technology...I've been in the market for a newer "hunting" bow for the past few years but to date have found nothing that I believe is truely built for all around hunting...I guess I'm just to comfortable with the weight & feel of my "old" Firecat! Perhaps if I had stayed in the Archery Business, I would have evolved with the new technology!! Sooner or later I'll find something that trips my trigger, till then I'll continue on with the tried and true!

I have a Reflex Extreme Split limb dual cam set to around 62 lbs.

Bighorn fiber optic sight

Bodoodle rest

Carbon Express Predator arrows

Muzzy 125 gr 3 blade heads

and a partridge in a pear tree grin.gif

I would like to upgrade but I have another ankle biter in the oven and moma would be a little chapped if I went and spent a grand on a new Matthews confused.gif Anyway this setup does the job...shoots very good and is plenty fast.
