MJCatfish
I'm not sure where. . .but I think I know why: It's state tournament time for Minnesota Boys Basketball. Mother Nature just seems to know. Safe Travels to ALL! Good Luck, Kylersk.
Captain B.R.K
MJ- That is one funny looking catfish in your aviator? I heard a decent band across central MN will get the 10+ of snow. You know ole' Dave Dahl or Paul Douglas, they'll predict 10" of snow and we'll get 1"!

The Grebe
Depends on which station you watch? One will say one thing and one will say another, I don't believe we have had an accurate forecast all winter long. The forecast here in the cities is geared toward the 7 county metro and afew points further in all directions, even some in Wisc. How is a person supposed to get an accurate report when the area is so broad? Five miles, sometimes even one mile, the weather can be different. My wife has a weather knee, she fell on the ice as a kid and when the weather is going to change, her knee starts to hurt and it has been more accurate then most of the stations. We watch what our cat does also, if he sleeps alot, the weather is gonna change, so between the weather knee, the cat, the regular weather stations and the cable weather station, we usually can figure out the weather, but for a really accurate, up to the minute forecast, we have found that looking out the window beats them all! elkhunter
What I want to know is how can I get a job like that? Where else can you be wrong 90% of the time and still get your paycheck.Maybe they should start paying the weathermen on commission? All I know is that I am waiting for the river to open up so I can get my boat wet again. Take care and have a great weekend.Dale

hawkeye43
Was thinking about going to Red Lake but, when you plow snow, you best be there when it snows. Its been too easy of a winter. next weekend right!!!!
Riverratpete
Once again a big swing and a miss for the metro...good going weather people...I'm going fishin. You ever get the feeling that the media does nothing but hype every little thing they can, I swear they have every blue hair in the region hunkered down in the basement with their pork & beans and radios turned to the good neighbor. If it wasn't so sad it would be laughable.
saddie
They were right on the snow fall for south central MN We already have 10 inches and it looks like there is alot more on the way. Its very heavy snow so it could be fun shoveling. There are many schools closed very slow going.
Matt Johnson
Mankato got dumped on and the conditions are close to blizzard in some areas. With the winds we are getting hit with as well it makes travel tough. Gotta love March winters in Minnesota! I guess this means I have to take the day off and watch the Gophers Good Fishin, Matt Johnson
The Grebe
We do snow removal and from all the various forecasts last night, we fully expected to make some scratch today! There is a little broomable snow out there (north Mpls) as of now, here in B.C. there is'nt squat. I expect that the further south you go, the worse it gets. I do believe that when it finally peters out here in the mid-metro, we in the snow removal business, will have at least a little something to do, unlike our inundated brothers to the south, their plows will be sparking! Eric Wettschreck
Down here in SW Mn it's a white out. No clue how much snow we've gotten so far but it's a lot, and the wind is startin to blow.Gotta love MN in March.

smallieobsession
Just got done blowin out the driveway and I'd say we have AT LEAST 12-14 inches if not more here in Pine Island - just north of Rochester - and the wind is starting to cook. Should be fun driving tonight!
Lost
We got about an inch here in Fridley. It's still coming down but I don't think we'll get much more. So, what does this storm blowing through mean to the fishing? Better fishing the next couple days? Worse? Where will I find the fish? In the weeds? Down deep?
