  1. My 2Cents. Fines should start fairly stiff for first penalties. After that fines should be greatly increased along with loss of privledges and gear and or vehicles. After 3 infractions, loss of privleges for set amount of years, and some jail time. Trust me, after working in a jail for a couple of years know, I think it would kill someone who loves to be outdoors to sit inside while it is nice out and all of their friends are out fishing and or hunting. elkhunter

So, what's the deal with Snow this friday?

What I want to know is how can I get a job like that? Where else can you be wrong 90% of the time and still get your paycheck.Maybe they should start paying the weathermen on commission? All I know is that I am waiting for the river to open up so I can get my boat wet again. Take care and have a great weekend. Dale

    trailer lights

If you do have to rewire your whole trailer my boat mechanic gave me a good idea when I did mine. Instead of using regular trailer wire he suggested cutting the ends off of an extension cord, I used on of the cold weather blue ones myself, and run it through the trailer frame, you won't have the problems with wires cracking after one,two or three years. He stated that he has never had to redo a trailer that he has done in this manner. I just did mine last spring and I guess only time will tell. Chevy pickups also have that fuse box under the hood. Mine has fuses in the pickup and under the hood for the blinkers. Imagine my frustration when I had no trailer lights, checked the fuse in the pickup, then rewired the trailer, and then still didn't have lights!!!! Maybe next time I will look at the instructions first!! Dale

    crawler harness

I have been tying my own spinners for years and have been tying a treble hook on the bottom for a stinger since about 1985. Works great. On the top hook I just run the line through, wrap it around the shank 7-8 times then bring it back up through the eyelet and add the beads and quick change clevis, sure is a lot easier just changing the spinner blade then the whole harness when color seems to be the only difference on who is cathcing fish in the boat and who isn't. To make the top loop, I just bend the line over to make a loop, bring that loop around the line and then back through the hole you made. After that bring the tag end through and tighten them all up and you are done. I have also found that 10 to 12 pound xt works the best, xl twists to much Dale

    batteries

How do you get six years? I don't seem to get more than three. I usually trickle charge the batteries, and try to keep them charged over the winter. I also have had the problem of my main wire overheating and melting. Anyone know what might cause that? Thanks for any help. Dale

    Marine radio???

Shaggy, I don't know where you fish. I fish Buffalo Bay on LOTW, and most people up there are on channel 6. It gets pretty busy sometimes, when that happens we usually just switch to another channel so we don't have to listen to peoples kids playing on the radio. Dale
