Iceman12
Do you usually jig a glow demon or put it under a bobber? I've always put it under a bobber. Just looking for new ideas. frabillfisher
I've always used them under a bobber i wouldnt think it would have as good fluddering action as a spoon..but you never no what those fish want until you try!
Deitz Dittrich
Icaman12-Watch the video we did on Lake of the woods... Ice Leaders Video We caught about 75% of the walleye on this trip on a #4 Custom Jigs and Spinns Demon... the other 25% was caught on a Senic Tackle Go Devil... But to answer your question, i dont think that very many of the fish we caught were with a bobber.. we were using them more as spoons.. Don't get me wrong, I have used them under a bobber, expecially for crappie..but also, they are great a a jigging spoon...
hanson
Iceman-With a bobber or hanging on a deadstick rod with a lively minnow. I just picked up a bunch of mega glow red & blue and a variety of other demons the other day. I had to pick up some new URL tackle. The white body with a pink head produced a ton of perch for me up on Winni last weekend. I just used it under a float with a minnnow. Pretty basic. augernaut
the white/pink glow demon is probably one of the best darn jigs anywhere! Crappies and gils love them. I never use bobbers, just use them as a spoon, typically tipped with maggots or a waxie. For you guys fishing walleyes with demons, what size/colors do you like? Tip with a minnow head or small minnow, or maggots?
Deitz Dittrich
Augernault- For walleye, the #4 is perfect!... Up on L.O.W. we did both the minnow head or the Full small emerald shiner with it hooked threw the dorsal. Both ways work fine. I fished up here on South Center and was able to pick up walleyes here as well on the #4 Demon... pick up a few you will be happy.. I have used a bunch of them.. anything with red and gold on it for L.O.W... the full glow red is pretty good anywhere!
augernaut
Thanks Dietz - I am going to pick up some #4's. I'm always a bit leary about red glow for eye's - here in Wisconsin most of our lakes are about as stained as Absolut Vodka :-) But, I will give it a shot with along with the old standby colors. Deitz Dittrich
Auger-actually I have done well in clear water on the glow red.. For some reason the glow red is never as bright as the regular glow colors.. so I think that actually helps..Manny of the lakes I fish are quite clear and I still do well on the red... Get a few of them #4's and let us know how you like them..
Matt Breuer
The demon is actually considered a spoon style bait, and is great for jigging. Like Dietz said, the size 4 is a great jigging tool for 'eyes. It's also one of the deadliest jigs on the market under a float or used with a deadstick! The Grebe
The Demon is my favorite jig for pannies and I use it the same way that you do, under a bobber. I have been using them since I first discovered them on the market and they have never failed me. For sunnies, red, pink, or orange tops work for me. For Crappies, I favor the Green tipped, same for wallys, gotta have them Demons in various sizes and colors! Captain B.R.K
I use the demon as on my dead stick rod- no bobber used! Just put a live minnow on it and little work its magic.GUYS- speaking of demons: ANYONE know where I can get the glow in the dark demon with a red dot in the middle?? I think it is like a size 6 or 8?? I've seen them closer to tackle shops near URL.
icehousebob
I've used the larger glo Demons on tip-ups in So. Dak. for Perch, baited with a dorsal hooked fathead. The down side is that those darn Walleyes keep hitting and messing things up. I've lost a couple to Northerns out there doing that, too.

Deitz Dittrich
Capt, I saw them in the gas station in Blackduck.. on the way to LOW and Upper Red... I have not found them in the metro yet!!! YET!!!
Matt Breuer
The Demon you're referring to is part of the Red Lake Tested Demons. They are only available to shops, so you'll have to look for them there. And.. since they're Red Lake Tested, they're more common around here. Pretty much all of the bait shops in Bemidji and up to Red have them. Don't forget about the Bloodline Demon as well, they have the red stripe down the body. hanson
Matt- I was snooping around the Gander in Minnetonka and came across a little tackle box with (8) #4 demons in it. I looked all over the rest of the store but could only find the one. They are mostly white with different colored stripes on them. I thought, "These will be dynamite on Upper Red." I got home and looked on the side of the box and there was a sticker that says "Red Lake Tested".
msm1018
I found a huge rack of C J& S at the Duluth gander with a bunch of smaller demons mixed in with the bunch. Plus I saw the box with the 8 4's in it as well.

The only problem is they didn't have the biggest size I like for crappies and eyes. I might have to downsize---maybe my hooking % will go up. hip_hop_fisherman
Demon's are exceptional lures. Good for pan fish, walleyes, the occasional northern and today we even hammered the rainbow trout on the glow with the orange dot. Can't say enough about custom jigs and spins. Captain B.R.K
Dietz--If you need some, I can definately pick some up for you. I'll be down to the Med. Lake tournament. The ones I'm thinking about are the glow with a red dot in the middle. The URL stamp of approval demons
