6 pound crappie????????

My neighbor told me a few minutes ago that someone had caught a 21", six pound crappie. Anyone else hear about this? He said it was the talk of the office. He couldn't remember the name of the lake, but it wasn't Red.

My nephew caught one that was .21 oz from the state record (black crappie).He caught it up by the Cambridge area.Yes,it was 21" (not sure on the 6#),but it is on his wall.

Isn't the state record a 21 incher at 5 pounds? 6 pounder seems pretty unlikely but you never know!

21 inch, 6lb crappie is about as truthful as someone getting a 26 inch smallie. (and I have seen claims of the smallie on FM)

It is the Va state record and went 4 lbs 10 oz, caught in a Private Pond 04/24/1994 caught by Justin Elliott.

My buddy has a crappie mounted on his wall. The first fish he caught through the ice at age 3. Weighed 3lb 9oz can't remember the length but it was built similar to a football kinda like a real fat bass.

6 LBS I want to see the pic until then it's talk.

I think it was 17" or 18" either way a MONSTER!
