Well, I lived in Virginia, MN. from about 3years old to 18 years old (my family still lives there), which is on the Iron Range. And the number 420 is an important date to me. When I'm not hunting or fishing, I am on the course golfing!!! April 20th 2003 was the date that I first golfed Par on a regulation par 72 golf course (and no, I didn't take any mulligans). Oh yeah, I haven't done it again since. I hate that darn game! smile.gif Since Ironranger was already taken I had to add something. On the day I joined this site, I happened to be thinking about that day I golfed par and decided to use that date.

My name is John and I'm a server part time at a restaurant and the Mexican cooks call me "Juan Grande" which means Big John in Spanish.

I stopped in at Harty's Bait on Medicine last winter and I think Joe was surprised to see I was caucasian.

Squeedunk is a 19 acre lake by my cabin that is loaded with bass. Many of my best days on the water have been on Squeedunk and I get it all to myself! I owe many days of happiness to that lake and I can't wait to get back up there again.

Similar reason: our cabin is on Lake Alice.

Nels Bells can you explain the mystery of the name ninetoe? How about "twitter"? You IBOT guys have the goofiest but most interesting names. Must be the triangle. I've only fished there twice and I even have a triangle story.

Mine comes from when I was a kid racing a “B” stock hydroplane. That little 9’ boat did 58 MPH with a 19 cubic inch Champion Hot Rod motor. I’ve always had kind of a need for speed. These days I split my recreational time between my fishing boat with a 200hp Mercury smirk.gif and my 1966 Plymouth Satellite, soon to be treated to a fresh 500” big block grin.gif.

Years ago I played on a paintball team. Being the fat guy on the team, naturally they called me Skinny.

Some wiseacher started calling me Skinman, then Skinflute and then it morphed into Skindog.

Kind of funny how people get nicknames.

I asked this question back when it was the old fishingmn forum. But, I'll ask it again....Does anyone know if it is possible to change my posting name? I would like to do it without losing my total post numbers or the date when I came on to the fam. When I started posting on the forum I kinda froze and just picked some name that has no real meaning behind it....now I'm regretting it after reading the cool stories behind all of your guys posting names. Thanks for any answers to my question......LEECH21 confused.gif

Regarding Ninetoes and Twitters posting names...I've been sworn to secrecy. grin.gif That and I can't remember what they told me or even if they told me. The two guys that would probably know are Kelly P. and Jigglestick.

Well I fish a number of bass tourneys in the summer and trolling isn't allowed so you cast an area and blast to the next.Without any forethought after posting in the hunting forums, the name kinda suites that too as I cast out my two Brittanies and blast at the birds they find usually ending up with nothing but a few more holes in the air...maybe I'm to blame for the supposed global warming trend smile.gif

Interesting but you guys with the long stories too long to tell, just short them. Well maybe not the stories I'm imagining are funny enough alone.

Anyone remember as a kid wishin they could start to shave just pa and gramps. I did and now I wish I could go back in time and slap that kid for being such foolish thinking.

Anyway I could grow a full beard at an early age and was always spending time outdoors so classmates nicknamed me grizzly adams. Got shorted to grizzly then griz, it stuck. Griz was taken so I added my initials in front.

BTW I've never seen a post from griz confused.gif Was on a fishing forum back in 90, confuser broke and it took a few yrs to replace it. My post name there was griz. Can't remember if it was this forum or not but I think it was. Just wondering if it could be me using my nickname? Rick how long do ya let registered people go w/o activity b4 deleting them?
