ski_otter
Most fun catch was an accidental 33" sturgeon fishing crappies with 2lb line in about 40 FOW. Usually panfish though
Mike Stark
Lake trout. Nothing fights like a big trout through the ice.
Cyberfish
bluegills, crappies, pike, walleye, N.pike, perch, even carp! and don't forget eel pout!
otterman91105
Crappies and sunfish, it's seems to be steady action most the time.
pushbutton
bluegills, crappies, pike, walleye, N.pike, perch, even carp! and don't forget eel pout! Yep, anything that is biting at the time is my favorite!
Rick G
I shall be the first to say channel cats , but I'm pretty sure I wont be the last one to say it I like walleyes too but the fun wears off after the first couple weeks of ice
aanderud
Last year would have been a tie between cats and crappies just because I could get my kid out crappie fishing, and he was too young to make the drive up to the chain to go cattin with us. Now it's definitely cats this year, since the sidekick will be 5 and can skip the afternoon nap and help us reel those puppies in. But, I'll gladly keep and eat the wet-sock walleyes that bite while we're targetting cats. I wish we had lakes with good lake trout populations nearby, I'd give them a shot. Fairchild_82
I enjoy catching crappies here in the cities during the work week..during vacation time walleyes become my business.

silverbulletguy
I wish we had lakes with good lake trout populations nearby, I'd give them a shot. Big Watab north of the Horseshoe Chain(between Cold Spring and Avon) has a nice brown and rainbow trout population.
Franco
Hi I'm new to this forum, but here in Southern Saskatchewan my choice is Walleye and Perch. Franco.
Charlie Mason
I like it all, but since I hit the open water so hard for walleye from early spring till ice up, a month of perch in Aug/Sept, sneak in a few weeks of muskie and pike fishing, by the time the lakes freeze over, got a hankering for some bluegill and crappie! pike79
Thowing a well tuned spear at a slowly decoying N. Pike is as good as it gets for me.
TruthWalleyes
I probably spend 50-75% chasing pan fish and the other 25% in combination of Pike, Walleye, Catfish, Bass, Perch, Etc..
247outdoors
Rainbow smelts and Lakers....can't wait!

Dave Genz
Red lines on the Vexilar, if I have to choose after that it has to be a Bluegill!!!
Big Dave2
I target Crappies by far the most in the winter time but my favorite would be channel cats.
Dylan8351
My favorite fish has to be a rockbass but I will target just about any of the panfish.
MuskieFever
I'm a die hard crappie fisherman, but I'm slowly being converted to a walleye and perch guy. I love crappies and gills because you can get 'em all day, but there's something about a walleye on ice.
Jim Uran
Bluegills, with crappies a close second!
