Don’t know.... haven’t tried one out since they re-opened....

Heard about a couple items for sale that gave me a glimmer of hope but not enough think anything serious about making a visit yet.

is gander outdoors still as crappy as it use to be since the change over? Maybe we can get a sticky for smaller bait shops with addresses, websites, locations etc

Went to the big one in Forest lake and new one in Brainerd. They seem to be laid out nicer and have a lot more items. But, I have an RV so not only the fishing and hunting stuff I can use some of the RV stuff also.

From what I hear Gander Outdoors is at least half way decent.  Its actually a completely new store with completely different owners now (owned by Camping World).

I think they did themselves a big disservice by keeping the name Gander.  A lot of people think Gander Outdoors is still owned and operated by the same people and that ran Gander Mountain into the ground..  The Gander name lost all respect in the hunting/fishing retail world so I'm sure they are losing business from people that don't know its a new and different store with different owners.

Sad!

Cabala's is slowly becoming Bass Pro shop with expensive crapp I don't need and even Fleet Farm is starting to change with their new ownership and running out of stuff all the time! ?

Fleet Farm in Baxter is still pretty good.

Go to the Baxter Fleet a lot in the summer. They do seem to still be hanging in there.  May be because there are a bunch of Mill's family still working there? ?

FF here in Alex seems to be going down hill I think...

Rochester has greatly expanded firearms and fishing.   If anything is getting hit it is the farm supplies... Just my casual observations.

back to the Elk River bait shop though is they do have a decent selection of rapalas and other lures!  I have now stopped in more than a couple times as I pick up a pizza next door.  If I have to wait for my pie I go next door to the tackle shop and find a lure I "need" and usually find something to buy. support small and local otherwise we get forced to Cabelas and Fleet!
