LMITOUT
This is my next sauce to test and picked up a couple of bottles at the local Cash Wise. It has a sweeter flavor which I prefer. Made in South Dakota. I've heard good things about it: lovebigbluegills and reinhard1

Big Dave2
This isn't really BBQ sauce but it is delicious with pulled pork......... This stuff is local to Belle Plaine but it is surprisingly very good. reinhard1 and lovebigbluegills

The original is on the sweeter side but they have a variety of different flavors I have a jar of this in the cupboard but I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet. reinhard1

I like it the best on a pork loin. They also make a bone suckin sauce dry rub that I'll put on ribs when smoking them reinhard1 and Big Dave2

chaffmj
Trader Joe's all natural BBQ sauce has a nice smokey sweet flavor with a little bit of heat.
Getanet
Found this recipe for a sweet & spicy sauce in a smoker recipe book and it's good on chicken. 1 C Honey 1/2 cup Famous Dave's Devil Spit Splash of Apple Juice You can adjust to your own tastes and I'm sure any other spicy BBQ sauce would work. The apple juice seems to just help thin it out a bit. OJ would probably work too. Or you could leave the juice out entirely. reinhard1
reinhard1
I use apple juice with some brandy for spritzing the ribs or chicken and apple juice to thin out sauces. I'm more of a mop guy on food than thick sauces. So any sauce you like can be thinned a bit to your liking for sure. good luck. Dotch
Sounds like something to try here. Just curious though RH, how much of that brandy actually makes it onto the ribs or chicken? And it better be the "good stuff" ya know. Supposed to be cooling off the next several days. Could use a little tincture while grilling meself... reinhard1
RebelSS
Doesn't every rib guy have a spray bottle of apple juice? They should! I was taught that was required!!! reinhard1
reinhard1
I am mainly a beer drinker and brandy is on the menu at deer camp. However not all the brandy goes on the ribs or chicken. Korbel brandy is the brand. Ya Reb, spritzing with the juice on meat is like melding in a sausage mix. good luck. Dotch
