If I ask a question I want an answer that pertains to the question not something completely off subject. If I am looking for a recipe I want ingredients. If I visit a cooking forum I want recipes and food ideas, not a bunch of people pandering for "likes"

there are/were a lot of good quality guys and gals on here and plenty of folks that offer great ideas, recipes, suggestions, help etc. and I have always been very grateful and respected a lot of guys willing to chime in and help share their own secrets and tips.

there are many recipes that I want to go back and revisit and its gotten very difficult lately to find anything that pertains to food buried in all of the small talk. other users have voiced the same frustration, some have just completely left because they are fed up with it also.

you have a thread to play, do your thing but leave the other topics "on topic".

I like to post what we're having that particular meal, I'm not out for likes. If it takes some special doings to make that meal happen I post my trick or two. If you want a recipe on any given meal that you see here just ask, it always gets answered.

I think it's unfair how we are to blame on people leaving hso, lots of people went packing with the changes over the past couple years, some people don't take change so well.  Chime in from time to time, all is welcome,  everyone needs to eat so let's see some ideas, limit did, but didn't make many friends in the long run.  Ya know fellas, if the tears keep coming we can always do a book of faces account and chit chat that way..

Well, I'd sure  like to at least sample that, Bobber! Never would have thought of doing those on the grill. Are you having the Cinco party this year? A friend of mine asked me what day Cinco De Mayo was on.....LOLOLOL

I'm not even going to entertain the thought Del was talking sloppy seconds.....

Nobody is complaining about this thread.

People (yes, more than just me) are complaining that the nonsensical blathering leaves this thread and derails other threads.  At that point the usefulness of that thread becomes compromised and diminished.  Wash, rinse, repeat.

Believe it or not, I'm trying to help you guys out and offer some guidance or a view from a Cooking Forum "outsider" perspective.  Unfortunately some feel that instead of accepting the constructive criticism they'd rather attack and push more people away.

Hundreds of people LIKE this thread, go ahead and prove me wrong! Just because YOU SAY people complain where are the complainers? Can't be any of those long time readers who never post but want everything for free so they don't have to look for something. I have posted In this section on food and received answers to my questions. Dang if ya want a cookbook and how to make something go to Barnes and Noble and pay a few dollars. The people here are shareing their ideas for free and those of us who want to share our days should not have to bend over for someone who does not want to find out about what we are doing or keep updated. You don't like it move on..

I promote this board all the time but it has fallen on some hard times. The good morning section right now is the only ember keeping this place warm and yet a few are complaining about it being off topic... Dang you must not read my blog because I AM ALL OVER THE PLACE !

After how I was attacked do you blame them for not speaking up?

Please go back and read the first sentence of my post which you quoted.  Keep that ember burning. ;)

Good morning all, what a day on here yesterday, like Rodney King said "can't we all just get along". Well it's early here 3:00am and getting ready to head down the shop to let the milkman in. Try not to let a few people change what or how we do things because it doesn't suit their needs or wants. All have a good day.
