After the "Super Conference" (SEC West) showings yesterday, I suggest that Alabama has been "appointed" to win those national titles...unlike the FCS where you actually have to win your way to a title. Winning the SEC doesn't seem such a prestigious sign of excellence as some suggest.

The SEC sure has been exposed for the fraud that it is this season#vastly-overrated!

My hope is that the NCAA & BCS will actually require teams to win their way into the playoffs and finals. I personally think the best team in the country is TCU, and that the BCS should model their playoffs after the FCS formula. I was very unimpressed with OSU...elated but unimpressed. If the SEC got smacked down with a quasi-playoff, what might happen with a full playoff system! Parity in recruiting would come through real competition...not "arranged/appointed" competition.

I think it is something to forget about and move on from.

Why? Do you want to forget about and move on from the big 10's dismal performance which was worse over-all than the SEC?

It is impossible for any conference to do worse than the Top 5 teams losing. Nothing could be worse. If only Alabama lost and the other teams all won it would have been a disappointing bowl season. This years outcome is inconceivably bad.

Seeing as the Big 10 was underdogs in all ten games and went 5-5 it seems like quite a stretch to call it dismal. Big ten won 3 of 4 of the biggest match ups. SEC not so much.

I know it hurts Big Dave but Bama will still be looking to compete for a national championship next year while the Gophers will still be trying to figure out how to win a bowl game again. (You kind of did set yourself up for a little ribbing)
