Last week I came across a nice clear creek that looked like a good place to find spawning fish. I saw some fins break the surface and I assumed these were Northern Pike. But upon closer inspection found them to be some nice walleyes. Counted eleven of these, some nice 8-10 lb class females that were surrounded by smaller males. Still a bit of ice on this lake, located north of Ely.
