There's nothing wrong with mikko

I'm not sure if he's slighly injured but he does seem just a bit off. Now if he keeps winning key face-offs like he has that in itself is priceless!

12 hours til game time!!!!!

Wild called up Dumba and forward Carson Mcmillan.

This time of year all the teams call up the youngsters since they are done with AHL. It doesn't mean they are playing, but they do practice with the guys and get a taste of it.

I think Dumba is just there for the experience, no way he plays in the playoffs against the Hawks. I think he will be good for us some day but he needs more time.

Have to take this game, going back to Chicago down 3-1 is not an option!

Sounds like Pominville practiced yesterday, me think if he feels good today he might get back in there.

Also as expected Suter is a finalist for the Norris, Brodin didn't get the nod for the Calder but he is going to be a stud for us for a long long time.

If Backs suits up, I'm assuming that Yeo sticks with Harding, correct? I would not be a fan of throwing a guy out there for game 4 that hasn't played for a week +. Pivotal game tonight!

Harding has been playing VERY good, but you would almost have to think in the back of your mind is it going to wear him down. He is on the meds for MS and hardly played at all this season.

Personally you have to ride the hot hand until something changes with his game.

Heard a rumor JP Parise will be the wild head coach next year. He already stated there will be willy Plett like play even in the pre-season. He wants a blue collar team who wants to win! Dino Ciccerelli will be backing up JP as assistant coach. JP also stated he's sick of not starting a bench clearing brawl to setup game five! Wes walz wants to play even god! I can see mikko getting traded, Healy is gone, backstrom is gone, PMB is done, hardings gone. Hmm way to spend 20 percent of cap a season on 2 players who didn't do shizznizz! Skol Vikings hahaha:)

We have to face it... Chicago is a way better team than us. We would have to play an absolutely perfect game to beat them, clear the zone, not "cleared, but not out". No icing, can't afford to have so many defensive zone face offs. Obviously, score on power plays.

I think our future is looking very good, we're just not there yet.

yup, Better team, better penalty kill than our power play, better goalies. I just keep reminding myself, we are an "up and coming team" so I could care less if Parise isn't scoring on every shot and we spend a godzillion dollars on 2 guys. I still think we are playing a good gameplan against a very good team. No different than the twins a couple years ago getting fed to the yankees, we're just happy to be there.

Now we all know how crucial it was for us to take that #6 seed like we should have. Vancouver is out in four.

Does it really matter? So we maybe would have made it out of the first round. But to be the best you have to beat the best and Chicago is clearly the best team in the west right now.

Heck yes it matters! I want to watch Wild hockey as long as possible. Plus the additional revenue for the team and for St.Paul is HUGE.

I get your point, if we don't win the whole thing, then whats the point...but come on, wouldn't you rather be playing next round?

Yep the Hawks are just too good, was hoping for more fight in this one but Chicago just kind of did there thing slowly let the air out of the building. Sucks having Backs and Harding go down but you can't really blame the goalie either, yes Kuemper let in a couple of soft goals but when you go 0 for 6 on PP and lay a goose egg you deserve to lose. 0 for 15 on PP for the series, that is just plain ugly.

Odds of us taking the next game in Chicago are low, winning 3 in a row is just about impossible but I would love to have one more home game to give us a chance.

    • Sounds pretty sweet, alright. I will check them out, thanks.
    • If you really want to treat your wife (and yourself) with a remote operated trolling motor, the Minn Kota Ulterra is about easy as it gets.  Auto stow and deploy is pretty awesome.  You just have to turn the motor on when you go out and that the last time you have to touch it.   24V 80lb.  60 inch shaft is probably the right length for your boat.  They ain’t cheap - about $3k - but neither one of you would have to leave your seat to use it all day.
    • Wanderer, thanks for your reply. I do intend for it to be 24 volt, with a thrust of 70-80. Spot lock is a must (my wife is looking forward to not being the anchor person any more).  With my old boat we did quite a lot of pulling shad raps and hot n tots, using the trolling motor. Unlikely that we will fish in whitecaps, did plenty of that when I was younger. I also need a wireless remote, not going back to a foot pedal. We do a fair amount of bobber fishing. I don't think I will bother with a depth finder on the trolling motor. I am leaning toward moving my Garmin depth finder from my old boat to the new one, just because I am so used to it and it works well for me. I am 70 years old and kinda set in my ways...
    • Dang, new content and now answers.   First, congrats on the new boat!   My recommendation is to get the most thrust you can in 24V, assuming a boat that size isn’t running 36V.  80 might be tops?  I’m partial to MinnKota.     How do you plan to use the trolling motor is an important question too.     All weather or just nice weather?   Casting a lot or bait dragging?   Bobber or panfish fishing?   Spot lock?  Networked with depth finders?  What brand of depth finders?
    • We have bought a new boat, which we will be picking up this spring. It is an Alumacraft Competitor 165 sport with a 90 horse Yamaha motor. I will be buying and installing a trolling motor,  wondering if I can get some recommendations on what pound thrust I will want for this boat?  Also, I will be selling my old boat, is there a good way to determine the value on an older boat ( mid-80's with a 75 horse 2-stroke  Mariner motor)  I will appreciate any help with these questions.
    • Sketti...  not out of a jar either!
    • Lol yeah I watched that
