Finally watching a little of the SCSU game on dvr after the Wild. Does no one go to these games or what? We've got more fans at high school hockey games than there are watching in Toledo.

Goes to show you we are the best hockey state in the country.

The new season of finding bigfoot first episode will be filmed in Pittsburgh in two weeks.

Quinnipiac is a skilled team. I commented on that a while ago after watching a game in Feb. They are a veteran team and have strong goal tending.

Its a crab shoot if farragher shows up or not.

I couldn't believe how undersized SCSU looked today. They have played well and this year has brought a lot of surprises.

Remember EVERY year the wcha has had a shared championship one of the teams wins the NCAA title. Don't blow it SCSU.

How does the NCAA pick these regional game spots? They have had a region in Grand Rapids for years and the attendance always sucks. Hold the whole entire tournament in MN and every game would be a sell out easy. Is the NCAA trying to see how few people they can get to show up at games? Set attendance records for least amount of people showing up?

Yea Quinny is going to be tough! That was the first game I've watched of theirs and I was impressed. They are solid and deep! You might be going to Pitt archerystud?? Man, that would be awesome! I got an extra SCSU jersey for ya! wink

Yeah I'm going but I guess we are Road Tripping it. I'd rather fly but as long as I get there I'm fine with it. I've got plenty of jerseys!!!

I'm usually not that superstitious except when it comes to hockey. I didn't wear any SCSU stuff this weekend so I'm not sure if I'll have any on at the rink!!!

Quinny is a solid team but I like the draw. Their game is similar to ND and Miami. That wasn't the same Union team that beat up on BC. Big free fall after beating one of the big boys.

Key is to be patient. Quinny thrives if they can get a lead (as with every other team in the Tourney). All in all I'm just happy the Huskies made it!!! Hopefully they can win 2 more but I like the way they are playing right now.

Talk about embarrassing 5 of the 6 apperently overated WCHA teams being ousted by 3pm on Saturday. We had 40 percent of the field for petes sake.

Well at-least No-Dak got killed worse then us and we won't be seeing Bryce post much for a while. smile

Looks like I'm All In on SCSU winning this thing.. which is pretty scary if think about it! LOL

Go Ski's!!!!! grin

Holy dump how can I be leading in the picks for the brackets.

Lots of bracket busting upsets this year, if SCSU loses you got it locked up, if they win one game I think Bran takes first.

Edit: Wow some dude picked a perfect bracket so far, he has Lowell over Q for the title so lets hope he is wrong.

Dang, what a crappy WCHA weekend it was with the exception of the Huskies. Stud, I hope your weekend goes really well. Best of luck to Saint Cloud, this is an awesome opportunity!

I think I have 5 wins total in my bracket and have only SCSU left. The other shining spot was watching BC lose to Union.

    • Sounds pretty sweet, alright. I will check them out, thanks.
    • If you really want to treat your wife (and yourself) with a remote operated trolling motor, the Minn Kota Ulterra is about easy as it gets.  Auto stow and deploy is pretty awesome.  You just have to turn the motor on when you go out and that the last time you have to touch it.   24V 80lb.  60 inch shaft is probably the right length for your boat.  They ain’t cheap - about $3k - but neither one of you would have to leave your seat to use it all day.
    • Wanderer, thanks for your reply. I do intend for it to be 24 volt, with a thrust of 70-80. Spot lock is a must (my wife is looking forward to not being the anchor person any more).  With my old boat we did quite a lot of pulling shad raps and hot n tots, using the trolling motor. Unlikely that we will fish in whitecaps, did plenty of that when I was younger. I also need a wireless remote, not going back to a foot pedal. We do a fair amount of bobber fishing. I don't think I will bother with a depth finder on the trolling motor. I am leaning toward moving my Garmin depth finder from my old boat to the new one, just because I am so used to it and it works well for me. I am 70 years old and kinda set in my ways...
    • Dang, new content and now answers.   First, congrats on the new boat!   My recommendation is to get the most thrust you can in 24V, assuming a boat that size isn’t running 36V.  80 might be tops?  I’m partial to MinnKota.     How do you plan to use the trolling motor is an important question too.     All weather or just nice weather?   Casting a lot or bait dragging?   Bobber or panfish fishing?   Spot lock?  Networked with depth finders?  What brand of depth finders?
    • We have bought a new boat, which we will be picking up this spring. It is an Alumacraft Competitor 165 sport with a 90 horse Yamaha motor. I will be buying and installing a trolling motor,  wondering if I can get some recommendations on what pound thrust I will want for this boat?  Also, I will be selling my old boat, is there a good way to determine the value on an older boat ( mid-80's with a 75 horse 2-stroke  Mariner motor)  I will appreciate any help with these questions.
    • Sketti...  not out of a jar either!
    • Lol yeah I watched that
