2012 6 TD's, 12 int's, 6 fumbles a lower conpetion percentage than Ponder and everyone will be wanting him in place of ponder on ponders first bad game. That being said I'm glad we have him as a backup. Time for Webb to be a reciever or get out of town. Who knows he was an ok qb in 2010 maybe he has something left in the tank.

I LOVE IT!!! Cassel isn't as bad as everyone makes him out to be! Put just about any QB behind the OLine in Kansas City and watch them run for their life and see what their stats look like. His first year in KC, they did win the division, then the team fell apart. Is he Tom Brady, prolly not, but he did a better than good job when he had a decent line in front of him. Like it, like it, like it.

The best way to figure out if you're mediocre or not is to grab a Matt Cassel. I agree Musky18 but I think KC is going to take off now with Andy Reid and company, you will see a team on the rise at least in the near future for a few years. I think the deal depends on does Matt Cassel really give a rip. Speaking of rip Dr. Juice....but you lied Dr. J, it would be Percy's contraption because he didn't want to risk flying with it so Simpson said I'll keep it charred for ya. Then again Percy may have snuck a new one onboard his carry on and asked a stewardess, does the washington law go into effect over washington airspace because if so let's let er rip. But maybe Detroit Tigers Bobby Higginson and Jeff Weaver and co. may have ruined using the bathroom to get zipped up in ? Back to Matty Ice, oh he's the Atlanta QB, way too many Matt's at QB around the league. Here it is..... Aromoshudoo(sp) Cassel hits him in stride to the 30 the 40 the 50 the 40 the 30 he's gone ! I agree he'd likely do better than our other options. The NFC north is shaking in their boots.

I agree with you MuskyBuck....KC will go up from here with Reid at the helm and probably fast. He didn't last that long in Philly by being bad. As for Cassel....I don't know if he has the fire, but if he still does, it might be a great investment. I mean, coming from a team that had Romeo Cornell as its coach, who never had a winning season in Cleveland when he coached there, could you expect a playoff caliber team? If he can return to form, beat out Ponder, Spielman gets him a receiver or two......the NFC North SHOULD be shaking in their boots!

Ponder and Cassell are two very similiar QB's which is the exact opposite of Ponder/Webb. The good part about this signing is that Musgrave can stay true to his game plan whether it's Ponder or Cassell in the game.

This is a good signing...it made the team better.

And what exactly is Muskrat's game plan? He blows! Any chance you guys can trade him to Seattle too? Maybe package him and Webb.... And your 1st pick to a tem to take him! laugh

It looks like we have the 2nd string Qb position filled, now we just need a starter.

Based on what we saw from Ponder they just signed the starter.

He's even getting paid more than Ponder.

Hmm...

Well Speilmen did say there wasnt going to be competition for the starter job, so we sure couldnt go out and sign a better QB then Ponder, so we didnt have to many options smile

Spielman also said there was absolutely no intention of trading Harvin. wink

I have no intention of leaving my wife, but who's to say I dont get an offer I cannot refuse? Ahem, Carrie Underwood?

Just sayin'.

You dont say you plan or need to get rid of someone and then expect to get anything in return. How dillusional are you people?

Even at that, I dont think they WANTED to trade him, but they knew it wouldnt work out and a great offer was presented to them.

Would you like Sullivan to snap the ball to a ventrilquist dummy so he can throw it to your star recievers? Doesnt matter if there is anyone to catch it if there isnt anyone to throw it.

Are Muskgrave and the Vikings planning on running the old single wing offense with AP at QB? Just snap it to him and let him run? As far as I know we are going to have a QB on the field who may occasionally want to attempt a pass. He may not be that great, but i believe he will attempt to pass now and then. AND JEROME SIMPSON LETTING THE BALL BOUNCE OFF OF HIS FACEMASK CUZ HES STONED OUT OF HIS MIND AINT GONNA HELP SAID QB. Not hard to understand, i dont care how bad you think Ponder is.(i think hes terrible as well) Makes ZERO sense to not help him out a little with a guy that can make a frickin' play for him
