Prayers please

I don't usually do this, and if it gets deleted or moved that's ok. My wife is having an ablation done today. An ablation is a type of heart surgery, like having a stint put in. The longer I've been part,of this fishing community the more I realize how tightly knit we as sportsman are.

She's the young age of 24. If you would take the time to say a quick prayer for everything to go well it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Pooh my thoughts are with you on this day!! I had this very same procedure done on 12/20/12. It is very uneasy thinking about what they do and how they do it but it is actually a very minimal procedure as far as pain afterwards and recovery. Her chest will have a burning sensation at times afterwards and her groin area will be tender as they insert everything right in your hip/groin area. I didn't notice that I had a heart problem until a month or 2 before my procedure but I can say that I feel alot more energetic now! Just so you know I was out ice fishing on the 28th for a weekend and even cut a hole or 2 with no problems. Where is she having the procedure?

amateurfishing- yes this is done on the inside of the heart...they run a probe up from the groin to the heart and then weave into the upper left chamber of the heart and shoot you with adrenaline to try to make your heart go into fibulation. If they get you into fibulation then they see the problem areas and they start to ablate (or burn) certain areas of the heart...around every vein going in and out of that chamber they really burn good.

That is correct amateurfishing. Going to zap her heart to try to fix an electrical "short" if you will, in her heart. Just makes a guy nervous knowing what they are messing with. Like Ozzie said, it's a fairly simple thing to do. Just knowing they are literally inside her heart with cameras and tools as I type this is kinda unnerving. Positive I am staying, will just be relieved when its over

Yeah. They Actually had her heart to 190bpm. She had an abnormal growth that was creating a bad circuit. Running about 100bpm right now. Doc said the "sinus node?" looked 100%, which he thought was the original problem. If that makes sence to you

was just curious, think my mom is possilby having same procedure planned for april sometime to remove 90% blockage if that makes sense.
