You're likely seeing the Regular Black-Betty reel, the $39 one is my guess...... wink Zero chance they are 6061.....

PierBridge, I was in constant contact with 13 Fishing during the development of the 6061. I was given confidential prototype photos of this reel and updated on any and all changes made after each prototype went back to the drawing board. Thanks for assuming I don't know which reel I am talking about, but I do have a clue!

Just relaying info straight from 13, they did say Eau Clair was the Shceels store, I never said anything about St Cloud.... not sure what quality issues there is mines a sweet reel I pre orderd so is the 2nd I got in the mail yesterday...Now that people know St Cloud has them betting they wont last long....

You said the clue thing.. grin ... if so "true" both the vendor and anybody who came across the 6061's and didn't buy them or realize they are going for upwards of $200 on E-B a y might want to take a quick refresher course in Business or accounting 101 or even better yet find another line of work....LOL.... J/K I would have bought them all personally.

And as far as not being able to give them away .... well thats just plain nuts they could be sold in minutes based on the supply, demand, and hype of the product reguardless of the danny downer opinion of the product that you have.

But thanks for the info of the available inventory LD.

Scheel's in St Cloud never sold out of their first order and were unhappy with the quality and problems getting their first order, I don't think they ordered more.

My partner today was so impressed with mine he called and ordered one from St Cloud Scheels, as of 11 am today they had 1 left....
