zepman
He's got about five years left in his career...go out and get him this off-season...do what it takes to bring him here.Reasons:Harvin will not re-sign here with Ponder at QB...no way!AP will finish his career here in MN and needs a QB that gives him a legitimate shot. Favre got him close...he needs to see another shot in the future.Romo will welcome a new opportunity...it seems like Dallas might too.Ponder has no chance against Rogers, Stafford, or Cutler during his career here...if you think so, your dreaming.Waiting for Ponder to "develop" or drafting another QB and starting over will more than likely make AP, Harvin, Allen, and Co. irrelavant. Ponder is not the guy...Romo has at least proved that he can be an effective NFL QB. Give him our running game...combined with his experience and it should make us competitive in the NFC again.Fire away...if I were Spielman, this is what my #1 off-season transition would be. Ponder has "lost" this team....
RumRiverRat
Romo is absolute garbage. The Cowboys are never going to win a Super Bowl with him.
countyline
Buffalo would probably trade T jack. He aint looking so bad now is he!!!!Vikings probably would have a better chance of picking up Slelton, or Kolb.
ted4887
I'm with you all the way, Zep. Although I think Jerry Jones will actually give him an extension. RRR - Are you trying to say that you'd rather stick with Ponder?
MUSKY18
Kolb just signed a HUGE contract, don't know if the Vikings would be willing to accept that big of money against the cap. They need everything they have to find some decent WR's. I don't think Romo would be bad. He has his moments, and he hasn't exactly had the best of teams in Dallas. If the Cowboys don't make the playoffs this year, he will be gone without a doubt. Jones won't put up with that any longer.
schmitty3
I'd love to see Romo in purple, don't see it happening, but i'd like to. He gets no help from his team in Dallas. Half of his ints are off the hands of his own receivers. Also he wouldn't be asked to throw the ball 50 times a game in MN. I think the Vikes are a good fit for Romo. schmitty3
And it would be different here how???? Like I said he wouldn't be asked to throw the ball so much. Dallas has no run game at all, they are ranked 30th in rushing yards in the NFL. Romo wouldn't be pressured to make all the plays through the air. Vikes have the 3rd most rushing yards in the NFL. 96trigger
Romo is the the most overrated starting quarterback. I would absolutely hate to see him in purple. He has had some good teams in Dallas and has a tendency to choke in the playoffs. We would once again be setting ourselves up for disappointment. No way would I like to see him here. Scott K
Get a good line, and a couple good receivers, along with the best RB in the league, I could play QB. Romo knows how to play the game, unlike the option we have here. You dont need to be a top 5 QB, you just need to understand the game, and be able to make good, quick decisions. Romo is about the ceiling Ponder has a chance to be. We could do much worse then Romo. Considering the "AVAILABLE" options, Romo would probably be on top of the list next season. RRR - Are you trying to say that you'd rather stick with Ponder? Please don't make me cheer for Romo... I have a tough enough time after being stuck with him on my fantasy squad. Granted, I'd take him over Cutler any day of the week.

He threw a 60 yard pass completion on Sunday that was beautiful and something our qb is not capable of, but I still can't stand him. I was actually a Cowboys fan until he rolled in. Antero
Well he would keep up the Vikings sterling record in the Super Bowl.......he, as the Purple has trouble in big games.

FISHINGURU
Yuck, Romo is the biggest choke artist in the NFL. Atleast he can throw a bomb though and takes chances. He'd be better then what we have but that isn't saying much.

He might just come around if he gets an opportunity to play for a team that isn't in the national spotlight week after week, such as the Vikings. Scott K
Quote:Over the last 4+ yrs the Cowboys have won 37 games, the Vikings have won 36.Ha ha, ok let me reword that.I dont think Romo will play for a small market, not popular team, that gets barely any national media coverage. He will want to play for a team that he will get his name on ESPN at least every day. He loves his face on the TV, that wont happen in MN.
