BuckSutherland
Is that loser going to do anything this year? He should not even be starting. Completely worthless against the run. And he is getting so much pressure on the QB. Trade now!!!!!!!
Bryce
Must be getting quadruple teamed...or dropping back to help Greenway who can only get his name in the stats by jumping on piles.
ted4887
He's got 6 sacks this season and he's dealing with a groin injury. The Vikings have much bigger problems than Allen right now.

Bryce
Wow. That really changed that game. What inspired the team more? The sack or the the molesting of the farm animal celebration? Get back to the line and do it again.
ted4887
Well I was hopeful it would. Unfortunately, that post came about 2 seconds after the sack. But my point is still that Allen is not even close to being the problem for the Vikings. Ponder needs to make better decisions, AP needs to hold onto the ball, and the O-line needs to give Ponder some time. Doesn't help that Cook went out with whatever injury he has. aanderud
AP has like 5 fumbles in 2.5 years dude. He's not the reason they're losing. In case you didn't notice, they're down by like 19. Even without the 3 points they got off of AP's fumble, they'd be getting their stuff handed to them. The biggest problem is the defense giving up 30+ points per game. Look at the last long drive by the bucs -- over 9 minutes came off the clock and they scored a TD. Before that, there was still a hope and a prayer that the vikes could get the ball back with over a quarter to play and down by less than 2 TDs. The second biggest problem is the lack of passing offense. Ponder needs be benched. The only passing yards they had in the second half were after they were down by 19 and the bucs went to that semi-prevent and gave up a few yards on the last drive. BuckSutherland
I have only seen a couple games this year. The last two weeks Robison has made much more of an impact than Allen. I didnt see allen get double teamed once. Griffen should be starting in his place. Allen completely gets owned in the run one on one. Probably a big reason Martin looked like an all pro tonight. As far as ponder goes. The play calling is horrible. I think pukegrave is getting the plays out of the lucky charms box or something. Good thing we went out and spent 25 million on Carlson. One of the worst signings ever. Ranks right up there with Mauer. Ponder really has nobody to throw it to. Rudolph has great hands but is slow as hell. Basically everyone we have is slow as hell. Harvin and peterson can only do so much.Give ponder a couple weapons and a decent coach or two and he could be a pretty decent QB. Never great but he could be decent. And he is getting so much pressure on the QB. Trade now!!!!!!! Um are u talking about Jarred "over 100 sacks" allen, one of the best players in the NFL. The one who never quite and the guy who put the vikings in position for a comback tonight but the offense failed. That allen????
96trigger
Ponder had some decent passes tonight, he also had some duds. This is still a learning year for him. He isn't willing to take the risks yet to become a good quarterback. His interceptions were poor choices and bad passes, they didn't come from him forcing the ball to covered recievers like a favre, brees, or rodgers for that matter. If and when he starts doing that we will see what kind of quarterback he is. Can he make those throws where there is only an inch between td and int? I don't know yet, he hasn't really tried those types of passes much. Closest thing to it was the td to harvin tonight, but that was just a fade route. As for allen, two years ago everyone thought he was worthless too, then he followed that season by almost breaking the sack record last year. He is still one of the best in the game, even if he did not have a great game tonight or a great start this season.

Getanet
Hmm, time for a reality check here fellas. Last year Jared Allen was 1st in sacks, 5th in solo tackles and was 3rd in total tackles among all D Ends. He is currently #2 in sacks and #7 in solo tackles. Anyone who thinks he is a sack specialist only, can’t defend the run, or should be replaced apparently know less about football than Brad Childress. PierBridge
Quote:then he followed that season by almost breaking the sack record last year. Actually he did break the sack record! JR has the most legitmate sacks in the history of the NFL in a single season.Sorry gaptooth "strahan" you don't get credit for a sack when the opposing QB, in a preconcieved ruse, runs to your side, flops on the ground, and you touch him.The NFL, Strahan, and Farve ought to be ashamed of themselves for that tradgedy. BEEFEATER
Ya jarred Allen is amazing, also consider the fact that he played for cheifs and the vikings. Imagine if hed a played the last 10 years for the Pats. people would be saying he was one of the best ta play the game. Ive never seen Allen quite on a game, hes a baller in every sense of the word
FISHINGURU
Jared rules. It wouldn't be a bad thing to trade him right now while we can get some good value. As a fan I'd like him to stay because he's one of the best things on the team to watch.
muskE
Without a deep threat to stretch out the field it will always hard for the O to move the ball in the air or on the ground. AP and Harvin are studs but obvious targets for opponents to key on. We need some passes longer than 15 yds to remain competative. The D was weak overall last night with flimsy tackling and fewer gang tackles. Maybe it was me but the energy didn't seem to be there. I rarely saw anyone following from the backside. It's not Allen's fault as the extra attention he garners should free up someone else to step up and make a play yet he still gets in to make plays.
