Big Dave2
Well he can sure take hits better than your boy RG3 can.Maybe he'll fumble more but his ability to recite the ABC's after said hits is much, much better. Yep, Gerhart takes hits better in most all of his whopping 30 carries he has had so far this year. On average he has touched the ball about 3 times per game this season. Gerhart is not much more than a glorified fullback in a league that no longer uses fullbacks.
LMITOUT
So much hate in one person.Just being realistic. Sorry if you thin-skinned Minnesotans can't handle it.

we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted October 23, 2012 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted October 23, 2012 Go Vikes... The Vikes are 5-2. That's the reality LMIT has to deal with and I'm drinking that purple kool-aid
Scott K
I think the Vikes have a good shot at winning 2 out of their next 3 games. Which would put them 7-3, and with a 7-3 record, even with their last 6 games being tough, they could squeak out 2 more wins, and sneak into the playoffs. But, at this point, it is a pretty optimistic. I am still thinking 8-8 for the season, and missing the playoffs.
LMITOUT
I always love it when that guy from ProFootballTalk comes on with Paul Allen because he "clomps" all over P.A.'s kool-aid induced takes and tells it like it is...just like me. Today P.A. asked him what "the league" was thinking about the Vikings 5-2 record and he pretty much side-stepped the entire question as to not completely rain on the parade of the emotionally fragile Allen and his listeners. LOL.
schmitty3
These next 3 games are huge for the Vikes playoff hopes. They need to win at least 2 out of the 3. If they can win all 3 of them, which doesn't seem too unrealistic to me, that would put them at 8-2 with 6 games to go. This weekend will be a tough one, Bucs have been playing well just losing some tight games. They have the worst pass defense in the league so Ponder is gonna have to show up this week. Big Dave2
Even if they make the playoffs all it will mean is 1 more game.
FISHINGURU
Yeah but atleast you have a chance if you make the playoffs, any team can get hot or lucky at the right time. Not making the playoffs is lame.
nofishfisherman
Very likely it will be one and done but given the expectations for this team this year making the playoffs is an accomplishment. Just think back to how god awful the team looked last year. I'll take one and done over 3-13.
SkunkedAgain
My preseason was way-off, so I'll see if I can improve. The team is 5-2 right now with three games until the BYE week. Here are my thoughts:Win - vs BucsWin - @ SeahawksWin - vs LionsLoss - @ BearsLoss - @ PackersWin - vs BearsWin - @ RamsLoss - @ TexansWin - vs PackersNothing Earth shattering in my predictions since I have them winning all of the games that they should win. Maybe mix in a loss at Seattle but a win on the road versus the Bears or Packers. I guess that I see a 10 or 11 win season for Minnesota barring massive injuries or bringing in Randy Moss. The Bears have a cake schedule and in theory, so does Green Bay. But they all have to play each other and they can't all be 11-5. The last five to six games this season should be outstanding and bloody in the NFC North. If the vikes win 11 games I'll sit down with you and eat my hat too. Before last night I would have said they'll be 10-6.If they play the rest of their games as half hinied as they did last night, they'll be lucky to win even one more. Heck, I'd say if they keep last night up, I'll give them a loss in the bye week just on principle...And that's the bottom line cuz stone cold said so.
