Bloody Mary's!!!!

Recommended Posts

I know it's been done before, but what is the best bloody mary mix out there or who has a great homemade recipe. Like it spicy but not super hot, like some horseraddish in it. Let me know what you got. Thanks!!!!!

I like Zing Zang...add a little Stoli, some dill pickle juice, a little horseradish, ice cubes, celery salt the rim, a little dash of salt and pepper, a squeeze of a lemon wedge, dash of tobasco, add a cheese stick, a meat stick, a dill pickle, a few green olives, a banana pepper, a celery stalk, mix all in a BIG old glass, and you have your entire brunch in one spot!

I like to mix 1/2-1/2 Major Peters Works with Zing Zang. Absolute Peppar is great vodka for Bloodies.

Celery salt rimmed, pepper, worchestershire, garlic stuffed olives, a celery stalk, and ice is what I'll throw in there.

Another vote for Zing Zang here.... I like to toss the refrigerator at a bloody mary after starting with the ZZ.

i dont think I could ever replicate some of my best concoctions. LOL

beefsticks, jalapenos, banana peppers, steak sauce, worchestshire, hot sauces(one of probably 20 in the fridge), pepper, seasoned salt, garlic, etc.... I cant even come close to covering everything I have tried. LOL

Basically whatever I find in the fridge, it has found its way to a bloody mary. Well, except for orange juice. grin

I've been a Major Peters and Zing Zang guy myself for a looooong time, but recently tried Mike Ditka's Kick A$$ Bloody Mary Mix. It's excellent. Definitely worth a try.

Nothing like a Bloody with a smoked venison stick, dill spear, and a couple blue cheese stuffed olives.

Agree with the Zing Zang as well.

Here's a great tip. If you ever get a Bloody Mary at restaurant or bar that's just not very good, A1 Sauce is the cure-all. It will thicken it if it's too watery and add a robust, tangy flavor if it's too boozy or bland.

I've even started to incorporate it into my Bloodys on-purpose in smaller doses.

Enjoy!

What???? No love for the Clamato??? smile

Like most of you guys I've tried everything on the shelf, but Clamato is my favorite. I also like Mr. & Mrs. T's bold and spicy, but I add a little bit of water and the normal amount of vodka (I don't like drinking something with tomato paste consistency smile )

I like to spice Clamato up a bit with some Frank's. Another must to make any bloody mary perfect is DUFFY'S SAUCE!!!!!!!! Unreal flavor in that little bottle! It is also about 50% salt, so you only need a splash.

We also add some pickled beans, as well as some bean juice. Some celery salt, a garlic stuffed olive, and a hard boiled egg and I am in Heaven!!!!!

Everyday after work I have a Bloody Mary with a Grain Belt chaser ( or 3 smile )

Clamato used to make a Bloody Caesar mix (which was Fantastic!!) but has since been discontinued frown

Zing Zang is good, but the best I've had is Whiskey Willy's. Tough to find, but I have been able to get it at Big Top. I've converted a lot of people to Willy's mix.

To add flavor and thickness to any bloody mix, try some Pickapeppa sauce.

a good bloody needs at least 20 ingredients. first most obviously being vodka, but almost as important is the beef stick. if you cannot stir your breakfast with red meat...what's the point?

i cannot make a good bloody. i've tried time and again. i only trust one bar to make my bloody, and i buy one every time i drive through st peter. i also have their recipe, but cannot make it taste good.

don't forget the pickled asparagus along with the ever-popular meat stick, (sometimes I've substituted a cheese stick)

...and garlic stuffed olives, celery salt, pepper, a dab of hot sauce, a pickle,

The best breakfast one can have!

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
