I am all over this! Robertson family (Duck Commander) reality TV, actually heard about it through advertising on this HSOforum. A&E, March 21 premiere. I only needed to see a couple seconds to know I'm in. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

im not gonna put to much stock into a reality show on A&E im sure they will make them look like a bunch of redneck hillbillies and ignor what they have done for the sport of waterfowl hunting, sorry dont mean to be a debbie downer

Well I had to watch Phil is my hero and If you know Me at all you'll understand when I tell you that this was a great show.. It has family values in mind along with the constant laughter..

I think that the greatest line I have ever heard is from this show

"The problem with the world today is there is to much concrete"

Phil has some great insight for everyone espeacilly his grandkids

I also enjoyed the premiere. Not a lot of reality you can tell, but they deadpan some good jokes, family values are present, and there is some good social commentary. Interesting to see inside the business a little, and very few people know what a great football player Phil was.

Good start.

Comcast had the first episode on deman so i watched it over the weekend and it wasnt to bad i did like the concrete line also

I enjoyed the frog hunting part, cause as a kid we used to do exactly that. We would also employ the frog gig. A wicked little tool those are. We used a great big burlap sack rather than a cooler though. Makes me hungry for frog legs. Mmmmmm, frog legs.

Do like the message. Don't like the scripting. All the other shows do a lot of editing to make it fit a script. Not much left on the film room floor with these guys I bet. One take is what you get no matter how bad the acting.

Do tell about his football carreer. Didn't look real athletic in the family football game but then again, at my age, the only thing that makes me look like a former all american athlete are the plaques.

I think thats why I like it its more reralistic and not making it something its not. These other shows take everyday life for what ever and add that drama effect and thats what I dislike on most of the shows.

I also dont think they they are acting thqats the way they are. I have seen a few other shows with these good Ole boys and its the same thing.

Phil was the starting QB for LA Tech(?) but he was the starter over some bum named Bradshaw who went on to win a game or 2...Phil quit football because he was too into duck hunting

That is just a plain old fashioned fun show. I dont believe there are to many people who would like it outside of the outdoorsman because it does have some comentary, I guess, from Phil. But these are just good old boys havin fun on camera. BTW loved the duck pond.

I really like it so far, but I'm going to assume the ratings are not very good. It reminds me of the common man show on KFAN, not for everybody!
