PurpleFloyd
As much as I hate the packers this looks like a year where the stars are lining up for green bay. They have beaten us pretty handily over the recent past at lambblow and I suspect this could be the most one sided of all of them.

Yeah, because stars aligning is what it takes to win a Super Bowl. For sure I'll acknowledge luck plays a role in any sporting contest, but stars aligning? Really? Rippinlip
Packers pull away early, then the Vikings make it close until mid 4th quarter, then Aaron will take command and win by 10.34-24.Would I be surprised with some timely turnovers that the Vikings pull a major upset.I would not be surprised.Like posted earlier alot of goofy things are happening this year, it is the NFL.Packers getting beat this week would set up a wonderful Thanksgiving day game. SkunkedAgain
Unless you're the 2007 Giants, any team needs the stars to align AND good personnel to bring home a title. As for the game tonight, you're all asking out supermodels if you think that the Vikings will win the turnover game. Rodgers is an anti-turnover robot. He's got one (recovered) fumble this season and 3 INTs. Last year he had only four fumbles and 11 INTs, still pretty low. The only way that teams have been beating Rodgers is by taking away parts of his passing attack, slowing him down enough for the other offense to score more points. The Bears have done this to perfection the past few years, and the Vikings did a decent job of it at the Dome this year.I think that it will be reasonable close through the first half but the gap will widen with a Packer victory relatively in hand by the end of the 3rd quarter. Just a prediction.
PurpleFloyd
It seems to me the way to beat the Packers offensively is to start the game by using Kleinsasser as a FB and running right at Matthews with AP and Gerhart to wear him down and minimize his ability to rush the QB later in the game and to use screen passes early while going deep later in the game.On defense to stop them you would want to go to 2 deep safeties and then man up on their WR's, jamming them right off the line and not giving them a chance to get into the open spaces a c2 defense has while giving the Dline a little extra time to pressure the QB. Unfortunately we do not have the personnel to go mano-e-mano in press coverage against them this year. In the off season that would be priority numero uno if I were on the Vikings front office. At any rate this year the Packers are a better team. The Vikings have the potential to win one against them but it would be an upset.

Too many talented WRs/TEs, especially when they go 4 or 5 man sets.
JeffB
I would say the pack has an 80% chance of winning, but there are suprises every week in football. Thats what makes it worth watching.

Surface Tension
I'm giving the Pack a 50/50 chance of pulling it off. lets see if I'm right. So I looked to see what channel to tune into. I don't have ESPN?

Steve Foss
Jarrid, why don't you go in and edit your post and hit the return button about halfway through your row of Q marks. The only bigger stretch than the durn screen you stuck us all with is that the Vikes have a good chance of winning. Sheesh!~
