When are you leaving for the deer camp?

Love the card comment...lol, had my daughter in March, my bday is Nov 8 often opening weekend) growing up when was young it sucked before I could hunt dad, grandparents all gone, then I was gone gitlrlfriends, wife complained couldn't be with me during...(not same time frame

7 am Friday morning. 2hr drive to cabin and that's all set up and rdy to go. Probly go scout some stateland around the area. Planning on doin a little bit of walking when a person isn't in the stand.

If it were up to me I'd be sending a card. But like I said I wish to remain married and I can't risk losing half my stuff. Besides I'm sure she'd take my dog and leave me with the cat.

I'm content with my 4 days where I'll be mopping up all the leftovers that made it through opener.

I will be heading for my opener the thursday night before the season. Spend friday getting settled in, and picking up andy grocerys, and or hunting items I may have forgot... So ready for the season, just like every year. This is my Christmas!

We head up at 4:30am to Agassiz NWR. I am going to bowhunt in the evening and try to stick a doe. Haven't drew any blood for 3 yrs with the bow. Heard from all my relatives from Newfolden that it is really dry. If anyone here has ever hunted there...dry is a relative term...lol. It has been anywhere from hunting boots to hip waders...when it is hip waders it sucks! Good luck to everyone this weekend!

Heading out at 8am on Friday morning. 2 hour drive up to camp site. Hang stands as soon as possible, and then square away camp site and get the bonfire going. Love this time of the year!!!!!

Tomorrow afternoon, immediately after I get off work. We have a 2.5 hour drive to the lake cabin to get the pontoon out of the water, then another hour to the hunting cabin.

I hear you I talked to some other guys that had a wedding to go to on Saturday. I don't care who it is, I'd be sending a card.

April I always thought was the best month to get married ice is crappy, but probably not gone, March Madness is over. That said I got married in December...

Years ago when my wife's sister was planning her wedding one of the dates being discussed was the deer opener. If that's the case, I told my wife, their would be one less family member at the wedding.

I have seen a lot "rigs" blowing threw town last night and today....I may as well head out too...pretty hard to be productive. I should be to camp around 10 tomorrow...check on 1 more stand....chase a grouse...shoot a duck...if the ponds melt off again.
