record for the smallest pike ever?

Little bass are even worse. I had one in an aquarium that ate a minnow that was practically the same size as it. It had to swim around with the minnows tail dangling out of it's mouth for a day before it finally finished swallowing it.

I don't have the 'proof', so it will be just a fish story, but I was casting my tiniest flies trying to get some creek chubs for bait, when I caught a northern. It wasn't even two inches long.. definitely fry of that year.

yep mainbutter i caught one that size up in canada once as well, have a hard copy picture somewhere in my parents house. maybe 3 inches, tops. tried to eat a 4 inch original rapala.

Thats cool never seen a pike quite that small caught.

My smallest catches were a walleye about 4 inches while fishing with a teardrop one winter. Also caught a bass that was all of 2 inches, fishing panfish under a bobber, I reeled in my bobber and there he was. Wish I had a pic of both of those

I caught about a 2.5 inch Walleye ice fishing on Fish Lake back in the 80's. Bobber was just jiggling, it really didn't feel more than just the crappie minnow, so I just put the bobber back in the hole. Finally, I just pulled it up and viola, a monster.

Well it's not a pike, but it's pretty darn little.

And it actually hit the rapala.

You got to love the attitude of some of those little fish! My son had a 8 in. bass hit a 11 in. muskie lure last year.
