I enjoy topwater fishing the most - seeing the explosion or seeing a wake appear behind the lure never gets old!

+1

I fish it wwwaaayyy too much but I CANNOT put it down. Frogs, spooks, Pop-R's, etc. Frogs are frustrating as the hookup percentage is not all that great.

For LMB, toss-up between deep jigs and deep crankbaits. Love that thump.

For smallies, I love casting grubs - easy as can be, just crank the thing in, and all of a sudden the rod loads up... I love it.

Of course, if you'd asked me in June I'd have said swim jigs for LMB and jerkbaits for smallies. I'm pretty fickle wink

Cheers,

RK

Whatever seems to be the ticket that day is my fav pattern. It used to be topwater and skipping docks, but now I like the deep weededge and a jig. I'm trying to focus on deeper water 10-15 feet this summer in lakes since I always fish shallow, but not anymore:)

Hey Alex! You finally signed up! (This is Andrew by the way)

Hey man my favorite bass bite has been and always will be topwater frogs and poppers. I dont know how many touraments ive blown this year throwing that thing way way way too much. O well it was still alot of fun! I can remember to the day when I got addicted to fishihng. I was about 5 years old, I found a toad by my dads pond and i put it on a hook with my zebco and threw it in. I didnt have a clue what I was doing when about a 4lb bass exploded on that toad. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen and to this day I cant get enough of it!

Ive got to say that a close second, and a favorite new technique of mine, is fishing a deep football jig through the rocks! You feel the good stuff and, BANG!

Good luck in Class dude!

I love the topwater bite when it's on. Aside from that, I can't get enough finesse fishing with senkos, either rigged weedless or wacky-style. There's so much technique and feel to retrieval, lure placement in the water column and structure, etc. It's really something to practice and get good at - easy to do, very tough to master, rewarding when it works.
