SneakAttack
Oh its Sid Rice, my bad, but it still sounds like someting a Queen fan would say, Moss is better than Jerry Rice by 10x, Now i can sleep easy tonight
zamboni
I am not saying he is better than Jerry because his careers not over yet- but I think he does have more talent, he just picks bad times when not to use it. His size, speed and leaping ability are better than Jerry Rice had, and thats why I feel he has more talent. But for the 15 or so years (too lazy to have exact number) Jerry Rice played noone heard boo out of him- he let his play do the talking. Mudcutter
wouldn't have replied to this post,, but Jerry Rice popped up along with Moss. Did some looking at work,,, and the two WR have nearly exactly the same #'s through the their first 12 years,,, with MOSS a slight edge in TD. Currently MOSS has 151 receiving TDs to RICEs career total of 197. Rice played until 42,, MOSS is 33,,, MOSS can smoke Rice's record(s). (if he decides to play)Of course the whole SB thing will get played,, but I'll take Ron Santo at 3rd over Brooks Robinson anyday. moSS is on the same field as Rice,, and in 3-4 years,, will likely be better than him. Work ethic,, the nod goes to Rice,,pure talent goes to Moss. The #'s are scary close.
fishersofmen
For sure. Moss has come in and tore up the NFL just as he said he would. Sad thing is if he had not been smoking dope and occasionally slacking off all these years he would have been even better. To put up those numbers with a half a##ed effort is unreal. LMITOUT
(quote=james_walleye) Yup, and they took a pretty darn good team, and in the meantime just weakened it for a 3rd round pick in next years draft. I guess if thats what you want to call brilliance.... I wonder what defensive coordinators are thinking about having to stop arguably the top 2 homerun hitters in the NFL now on the same field together.... (/quote) Without question it was brilliant. They do have a pretty darn good team (even without Moss) that is young and are now poised to go on a run of playoff years. It's called building a franchise, something Minnesotans have no clue about. I'd rather hit a bunch of singles than one home run, but the Vikes are desperate and are swinging for the fences with this move.....along with begging Favre to play the last two years (which was really pathetic, BTW). They have an aging team and the window is closing...and fast. How do they defend against the Vikes? Blitz, blitz, blitz. Favre will be knocked out in short order and it's all over. T-Jack comes in, Moss doesn't get the ball anymore, and you'll see a schism of epic proportions. This team will be finished by the end of the month if they can't secure the O-Line. Bump. mrklean
haha nice find on that one. No more then a few weeks ago everyone was saying were super bowl bound now with moss, now they are 10 times worse off
greebs
Wow. Now in retrospect it turns out there were some pretty silly looking predictions in this thread. About 4 out of 5 saying what he would add to the team. 1 out of 5 were more realistic as it turns out.Hope he gets picked up by a bad team but if bad teams ownership is smart they will realize he adds no value to a team not doing well so his antics might get him on a better team which is too bad. Maybe he will get picked up by bengals and he can play with his hero.

fishersofmen
Moss continues to be high profile-low impact this season in his debut with the Titans. 1 catch for 26 yds. Fisher better find a way to get him that pigskin within the next couple games or all he!l will brake loose...

greebs
http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/111725024.html?elr=KArksi8cyaiU9PmP:QiUiacyKUnciaec8O7EyUswhat does everyone think will happen to randy next season? most players have great seasons when playing for a new contract but not randy. bet he's wishing he would have kept his mouth shut back when the patriots still employed him. branch sure looks good as a receiver for them now though and looks like they don't miss him one bit. they've lost one game since getting rid of him and teams moss has played on have one one game. FISHINGURU
A whole lot of bad luck, he should of just been quite about his contract situation and let the year play itself out. Came to MN and played for our struggling squad with a bonehead coach, then gets picked up by the Titans that have horrible QB's.I'm sure he'll be alright and be playing somewhere next season, he's got to much talent for teams not to give him a shot. pike doctor
Hope he ends up with the Bengals. Then they could have the 3 biggest crybabies to ever play the position.
greebs
wow, moss had a helluva game yesterday leading the titans to their first win since acquiring him and doubling his own win total since the pats dumped him. I think the vikes could have won at least 4 games this season had they had randy all year.
eurolarva
With the vikings pass protection I doubt Moss would have gotten any catches. Because he is a deep threat he usually requires seven steps. All Vikings QBs are lucky to get a two step drop before they get hit.
